berghaus Men's Prism Micro PolarTec Interactive Fleece Jacket

I mainly got this to replace the greenish grey fleece that came with my 3-in-1 coat, but I was also happy to see its a little less bulky than the original fleece. Its great if you want a little less bulk in the coat, while still being very warm and cosy feeling. It is missing a couple of things that the original fleece has. There is no wind flap behind the front zipper, so on a windy day you will get wind blowing through the zip. I don't see this as too much of an issue though as fleeces aren't really designed for wind and the wind will blow through the entire jacket anyway. So not having it there reduces a little bit of the bulk and doesn't affect the performance really. Its also missing the rear loop on the neck that you use to attach it to the outer layer, but having tried it today, the lack of a connection in that area doesn't appear to cause any issues. The fleece fabric is quite thin, but its very tightly woven compared to other fleece fabrics, so feels nice and warm despite its lower bulk and weight. Its perfect for warmer days when worn over a T-shirt, or goes great with an outer layer to add warmth to it. I am 6'1", with a 34" waist and found the large to be a perfect fit. Its a nice relaxed fit that also isn't baggy at all. The waist band is adjustable with an elasticated cord with toggles if you need to bring it in a bit. The sleeves are long, which is a plus for me as I have long arms. My only slight criticism would be that the sleeves would have benefited from adjustable toggles. Overall I am happy with this fleece, but I would say its a little expensive at the current price of £50.25.

Bought this along with Berghaus goretex coat to zip-in. Been wearing last few days in the evening - very comfy, very lightweight and keeps you warm. In fact, sometimes too warm! This is a thin material micro fleece, I was wary at first, but after a while appreciated the material. It's close-fitting so would be suitable for layering over a tshirt/baselayer, would not really recommend so much over formal wear, say a suit). Overall would highly recommend, delivery was super-efficient and quick, this is a high quality garment that keeps you warm, zips right up to the neck, has 2 side zip pockets. It is ideal for wearing over a t-shirt and zipped into a jacket. The fit is quite close fitting so if you've got a gut beware and may need to order a larger size, I'm 5ft 10in, 185 lbs, 42in chest athletic build and it fits nicely. May be slightly long in the arms/body but that's not a problem as it's designed to also zip into a jacket. Gave it 5/5 for value at this price, would not pay the RRP of £45/50, at this price (£36) it's a steal
