insert the batteries (included), switch it on, stick your finger in it and wait 20 secs. Not exactly rocket science, but they still give you a very comprehensive manual, although you will require a magnifying glass to read them. The screen is nice and clear, press the on button to change orientation. As far as I can tell it's accurate, the pulse was certainly correct.

Chews through Batteries
Very disappointing. Purchased on 15 June 2022. Although it looks great and appears to work well, it chews through batteries. I suspect that it's 'On' permanently - even when it's not in use and the display shows 'Off'. I've therefore stopped using it completely and been forced to buy another oximeter - this time from 'recognised brand' product.

No pulse oximeters are NHS approved and thus this claim is a total lie aimed at making you choose to purchase this product. Perhaps this product is rubbish.
