The Little Book of Joy

Wonderful book! I was hoping it had more text in it but the message is beautiful, and so are the pictures! In terms of reading level, I’d say it’s good for beginners because the kids who read well (like 2nd grade level) go through the book really quickly.

My daughter was asked at school what she wanted for Christmas. She said she wanted more joy for Christmas. My daughter by all means is not an unhappy child or has an unhappy life, she is just a very sensitive and caring girl who wishes others had more joy in their lives so they aren’t so sad. This of course was very profound and really struck a chord with me and my wife. We found this book for her and gave it to her for Christmas so she could read it to other kids and use it as a means to bring more joy to their lives. She has since read it to many other kids at school. Not sure if it has brought more joy to their lives, but knowing she is doing this, sure has brought more joy to mine and her mothers lives. Priceless.

So I have bought this both for my own child, and as a gift for a baptism. The child's father is not overly religious, while the mother is. Both parents apricated the books overall message of joy and kindness, and how despite differences, we are also the same. Art is beautiful, and would recommend this book for any child's library.

I'm looking forward to when my grandson gets old enough for this wonderful book. I discovered it while I was choosing books for him (for one and a half year olds) this past Christmas. I bought this book now because I didn't want to be trying to find it later. I wanted to be sure to have it, as it speaks to my heart at several levels.

I bought this for my great nephew. It is beautifully illustrated and has a wonderful message of love and friendship.

The story is heartwarming. I purchased for a gift. But will keep a while first to read and look at for a while. Great illustrations

Every household should have a copy - kids or no kids

One of the most inspiring children's books I have read aloud in my classroom in a long time. The overall message is reinforced throughout the book.

We got this book out from the library and loved it so much we had to buy our own copy.

Immediately caught my 3 and 5 year old ganddaughters' attention. i cold tell by their expressions they were moved. Beautifully illustrated
