If wanting to teach a toddler what a cardinal looks like, do not buy this toy. NO cardinal has a bushy pompon sticking out of his head. Right?

Actually they do have a little fluff of feathers on the head..I did buy this but the sound never worked

There are no strings attached to this bird.

How do you change the battery?

You will need to take the stitches out, along the underbelly seam near the base of the tail to open up the bird. I used curved nail clippers but there is a tool for undoing stitches. Go slowly because you should not have to open it up too far. The battery is in a plastic housing within the stuffing of the bird. Once you replace the battery you will need to place it back inside the bird, as close to where it was originally and oriented so that when squeezed it will chirp. Test this before you sew it back up! Then carefully sew the bird up along the original seam. You should not need to replace the stuffing/cotton batting when you replace the battery.

What materials are these products made of?

The birds are fuzzy like a stuffed animal. I don’t know the fiber content.
