Sure, it doesn't have the hold as the hair gel Cameron Diaz uses in "Something About Mary," but it's still amazing. I know, everything is a personal preference. But, I prefer this subtler hold. It also smells nice; comes out of the jar as a thick, cream-like paste; and styles my hair easily and without residue. It may also thicken my hair, which as someone with both fine and thin hair, I love.

If you have issues with frizz, or flyaways this is a great product to use, regardless of gender. It’s very lightweight, provides hold if want your style to look piece-y, or want hold without hairspray. It doesn’t leave your hair feeling as though you have product in it, and it doesn’t leave behind buildup like a lot of styling products do. That is also a pro if you go a few days between washes.

I’m very satisfied with this product and it’s the best out of several that I’ve used over the last few years. I got three months usage on my last purchase & have chosen to reorder another one because I really like it. My hair feels & looks fuller, the smell is fantastic & the texture is perfect for me.

If you use too much, your hair might look weighed down. Just a small dab, rub it between your hands, and then work it through your hair. Boom, my hair sits up (if that even makes sense!). The smell is good too. I found something that I can keep in my routine for months, maybe even years to come. So far, so good. Give it a try, you won’t regret it (just remember to use a little).

This product does exactly what it promises: it provides both good hold and also some body—which are great when you have thin (or thinning) hair. Aveda deserves its solid reputation.
