If this holds up like the previous steel rim, this'll be a great value.
Good value for the money, for a steel bicycle wheel/rim. It was pretty much balanced from the factory, so didn't have to tweak anything there. Going on an older 18 speed mountain bike, fits perfect. Replacing a wheel with a few broken spokes after riding over one last pot hole, this is after riding hard on it for 20+ years.

Replacement wheel for bike with a bunch of broken spokes...
Purchased this wheel to replace the rear wheel on my son's mountain bike that had a bunch of broken spokes. Wheel came in requiring basically no adjustment, turned very true and spokes all seemed properly adjusted, ready to go. Hardest part was getting the free-wheel cassette off the old wheel! Do wish this wheel came with a new inner tube spoke head protector band... had to use the old one, but otherwise everything went together great and pretty easily and son is back in business with his bike on college campus!

It served my needs, but ...
It served my needs but one tiny problem.I live at a homeless shelter in Fort Worth, TX, there are many people, some crazy, who sometimes pin me down in long weird conversations. I recieved the wheel in very good time, and having all necessary tools required went down to a spot behind some warehouses by some railroad tracks to minimize the odds of any human contact. Good timing and quickness were IMPERATIVE for the primary goal of replacing old warped wheel, secondarily avoiding long weird conversations. The entire process should've taken less than 10 minutes. After transferring everything from old wheel to new one - tire, inner-tube freewheel, and even correctly inflating it to the correct pressure - i reinstalled it. There was a constant stress during the process in that there was a crazy person about a hundred meters away mumbling to himself, i feared he might notice me. Additionally, i was EXTREMELY eager to have a tru back wheel with smooth cones and bearings, and regain use of my rear brakes.I adjusted the rear brakes, and put all my tools up. I collected all the garbage, and a plethora of other strewn out odds and ends, and noticed that the crazy mumbler was no longer there. As I excitedly began to pedal off, pleased with my readiness, efficiency and organization, i felt and and heard a horrible grinding. I also noticed two people 50 meters away at the warehouse talking, occasionally looking at me. My excitement immediately turned to frustration, fear gripped me.Turns out the spacers on the axle were either wrong or backwards, and I didn't have cone wrenches, as the shelter had impounded them as contraband. In the demoralizing hours that followed, during the peak of frustration in the sweltering July Texas heat, one of the warehouse guys wandered over and engaged me in a weird conversation terminating with 'Why aren't you over there in the shade?'.Anyway, managed to get it resolved and pedalled off. Wheel is very good except a bit warped from my attempt to move the hub over by adjusting the spoke nuts and accidentally loosening or tightening wrong ones due to being in a rush, impairing my concentration.

Used wheel, don’t bother
After less than a year and maybe 50 miles, this wheel has given up. It was never true to begin with, and the nipples, spokes, and hub appeared used and beaten up when it arrived. Now it’s at the end of its life and can’t be trued and is basically trash.

Heavier wheel then original
I was surprised this wheel was a lot heavier than 1 that came with the bike. Exact item as advertised

Not high quality
This is not a quality wheel by any means. I thought for $60 I might recieve something decent but this is not a quality wheel. The rim is poorly aligned where welded together and has some wobble right out the box. Now you have a perfectly wobbly rim alreeady creating brake noise/rubbing. Same issue creates a tube slicing sharp edge. A tube protection band for the spoke screws is not included. Tube slicer setup out of the box. Rim is clearly labeled as made in China. Machine assembled in USA for marketing snd sales of a low quality product.
