Benchmade HK Knives Instigator Knife with Plain-Edged BP1 Coated Blade (Black, 7.78-Inch)

Bought this for my son who is a knife guy. He bought me a nice Biker Auto and I returned the favor with this. He and I both like this knife for the following reasons 1. Benchmade quality, warranty and free factory sharpening service. You pay 5$ postage and they sharpen to factory specs and return it too you 2. Quality steel. AUS8 is a good Japanese steel. It holds the edge and gets scary sharp. 3. Small form knife with a big bite. This is a slasher type blade with a chisel grind. Easy easy easy to sharper in the field. 4. Great size for concealed carry and it is a light agile knife easily handled by those with smaller hands. 5. Beautiful design. Good looking blade and handle design. Very asteically pleasing and functional. If you want Benchmade quality at a low low price, try this little fella out and see what you're missing

I dislike the sheath alot. Neck Carying this is dangerous due to the lack of tension. The knife is okay; I wish it were thicker metal

This is a great knife! Simple, easy to pull out and put in, light weight, very sharp out of the box, beautiful. ONLY problem was the case/sheath. I had to buy a thin belt just to wear this knife around. Other then that it comes out easy and slides in nice.

returned due to knick near tip of the blade. also a lot lowere quality than I expected from Benchmade or H&K products.

My title sums it up ...it's super thin and lightweight yet is strong and high quality. Love the beveled holes all along the handle and the way it fits snugly into the sheath. It was sharp but could be sharper ...nothing a good sharpener won't fix. Purchased for use as a neck knife, but is versatile enough to use as a boot knife or simply strap it on to your back pack. Would make a good EDC knife too.

Knife looks awesome I like the feel have to agree with some of the other reviews definitely even better with 550 cord on the handle but what a slim design without the 550 cord. Knife looks mean no complaint about the knife. The sheath is what bothers me the knife is loose in the sheath. I held the sheath and jiggled it like as if it was around my neck while running and the knife FELL OUT!! Imagine this you are running from someone or something and your knife falls out worst case scenario you stab yourself best case scenario you don't but now it's not around your neck to be able to use to protect yourself. Hope you run fast. Im going to assume I just have a bad sheath since I haven't seen anyone else say anything about the Sharon issue I'm having. If the sheath worked this bad boy would get 5 stars from me.

I ordered this knife to travel with me on my next deployment, over there its nice to know you have a sharp and strong last ditch knife if needed. Straight out of the box I found this to be a first production knife which is the first time i have ever seen this. Super light but strong, i will probably wrap it with 550 cord to give me a thicker handle to wield the knife with. This is my first time writing a review for anything so that goes to show how pleased I am of my purchase, figured i would write one since i rely on reading reviews from others before i buy stuff.

As the owner of quite a few Benchmade knives over the years, I have come to expect a lot. The H&K Instigator by Benchmade has delivered. I bought this knife as a simple yet effective knife for my girlfriend to wear on a lanyard for hiking and outdoor activities. The knife fits snugly in the kydex sheath yet it isn't terribly difficult to remove. It has a nice weight and feel in the hand and a razor sharp edge. For the price especially it is difficult to beat the quality and design of the Benchmade H&K Instigator. Compact yet effective and easy to handle.

Leider nix mit Made in U.S.A. !!!! Auf dem Messer steht Taiwan (dafür deutlich zu teuer) . Die kleine Plastikraste für die Sicherung in der Scheide wird nicht lange halten. Sonst o.k.
