Can Mr. Kipling baked goods be frozen (in their original package) to enjoy at a later date?

I tried freezing them. I defrosted them on the counter and served them to my family. Ugh! They were nasty! Definitely do NOT recommend freezing! However, they do remain fresher if refrigerated.
