Live at Woodstock

I always enjoyed Jimi's performance at Woodstock. Especially his rendition of "Star Spangled Banner"

Always liked him good music.

Started a little slow, but Jimi was just getting warmed up. Then... Holy moley, I guess I had forgotten what a phenom Hendrix really was! Fantastic! Some interesting interviews as well.

A classic performance with Jimi at his best! Disc 2 is a never-before-seen (by me anyway) black and white sort of home camera behind the scenes version of his entire appearance. The footage is professional grade.Very nice indeed. Jimi at Woodstock is an experience for those who wonder how good he was and a trip down memory lane for us who know. This double disc is a must for any music lover who wants a record of just how music got to where it is today. 5 very high stars!

A must for any true Hendrix fan. I was there but left a day before Jimi, I was soaked to the bone had been there a week and man I regret it when I watch this. To think he'd be gone in just over a year. Again, if you love Jimi you will enjoy this selection.

Wer Jiimi Hendrix mag wird sicherlich auch diese DVD mögen! Es ist einfach fantastisch wie er damals in Woodstock spielte! Leider ist die Aufzeichnung teilweise von der Kameraeinstellung manchmal etwas unglücklich (man könnte meinen, das hätten nur Amateure gefilmt), Der Vergleich mit meiner Woodstock-Schallplatte zeigt auch, dass einiges abgeschnitten ist. Eine vollständige Aufzeichnung von diesem Konzert würde mich auch interessieren. Interessant ist auch die zweite DVD mit zusätzlichen Kameraeinstellungen von vermutlich Amateurfilmren. Diese sind aber in Schwarz-Weiß zu sehen und von der Qualität auch nicht ganz so überzeugend. War halt im Jahr 1969.

Jimi Hendrix est le guitariste qui m'a réellement fait progresser à la guitare, en le jouant (autant que possible biensûr...) en l'écoutant des heures... Une façon très naturelle et brute de jouer, qui quoique très impressionnante reste "accessible" pour un autodidacte (je me répète autant que possible...).... Ils jouait avec son coeur et son âme, il nous emmenait littérallement dans son monde et on a que le sentiment qu'il parlait avec sa guitare.... Woodstock reste une des plus belle prestation de Jimi et je la recommande à tout amateur de sensation forte... c'est tout simplement envoûtant et les mots me manquent pour trouver un qualificatif à la hauteur de son immense talent, si ça n'est que pour ma part, je pense qu'il était un génie...

The best Hendrix film in my opinion. Good film quality with some of his best playing and close up camera angles for all the guitarists wanting to see exactly what his hands are doing. Worth buying for the version of Voodoo Chile alone. Definitely recommended
