Incredible value for price point, rack mount included
I really appreciate the industrial design on the gen 2 systems. I picked a lavalier to compliment my DJ rig. I used my XSW1 with handheld on a mic stand and XS2 Lav on a groom for a wedding ceremony, I ran the lav at 0db gain and got a hot signal into my mixer. He sounded great and was able to roll the treble off a bit, turn mixer up and pick the bride up during their vows. It has a great omnidirectional pickup pattern. I was not able to full use the included rack mount as the bolt pattern on the new racker and joinery piece is not compatible with gen 1 systems. I'll rework the metal pieces to properly install everything. I do wish they offered a complimentary windscreen for the mic, not that I needed it but will have to source one now for future outdoor use.

Sucks for the price. Like everytbing else.
Too hard to chnage channels and it doesnt even come with an instruction book. ANOTHER example of a multi billion dollar company that can't do their jobs.

Fansastic and Durable!
This resolved an issue with audio capture from a frequent speaker with tendencies toward animated gesticulations and head pivot. The mic easy collected clear, professional sound from 180 degrees of head turns and movement and no clothing or interference sounds. Highly recommended.

Do not buy!
This unit did not work from the start! I tried different channels and the sound quality was horrible! I finally put in a MIPRO unit and my problem went away!

If you want to buy a wireless microphone set, go for Sennheiser
I had been struggling with the purchase decision for this one. There are so many competing products out there; quite a few in the same price category. I was looking for a reliable, easy to set up system that ships with a microphone that doesn't sound cheap. There were mixed reviews for all the options, from cheap no-name brands to the big names. And in the end it was indeed the name Sennheiser was what won me over โ and I haven't regretted my choice. This is by far the easiest setup I've ever had. I literally put the battery in, hooked up the receiver, switched on the microphone and I it worked, just like that. I didn't even read the guide. That's exactly what I was looking for as the last thing you want to do at an event is troubleshoot a cumbersome microphone system. Very happy with my choice!

Find the best frequency before the show
- If the battery dies it goes all static - If you are close to the max distance, make sure you are on a quality channel or you will get pops and drop-outs on the default channel 1. know your wireless interference in the area and other mics or wireless in the range. - handheld range (e825) is longer than the belt pack for distance

Great connection, but lots of noise and no headroom
This lav set has its positives and negatives, overall decent but noise is an issue. The connection is very solid, I have yet to lose connection between the sender and receiver, which was something i had a major issue with with the Line 6 lav set. I have used sennheisers EW series many times, and the connection on these is as strong as those! no issues there. Where I have found major issues is in the noise, it is very fuzzy. Thought maybe I had a dud but i have found this to be a problem in all 3 that I have. That being said, I have had some luck de-noising it, but it requires HEEEEAAAVVY denoising, and I'm rather concerned the problem is only going to get worse with time. The other problem is the lack of headroom, which is something I've literally never had an issue with on lav mics. I've never had to use a pad on lavs but in this case, you absolutely need to have the -10 pad on. if you have it at 0, you will clip aggressively at a moderately normal/quiet talking level. Even at -10, laughs or shouts will peak. I have the volume on the receiver at 0 and it clips like crazy still, giving me terrible audio (note that this is not a problem with the zoom i use, as it clearly clips before going into the zoom). At -20 all is well, a little more control over clipping, but the noise level at -20 is absolutely terrible, like unusable. Thought this was an issue with my cables, swapped them out, still an issue. Tried recording directly into an audio interface rather than my zoom, still an issue. So i'm forced to keep it at -10 where the noise is still somewhat manageable, and i just have to deal with the occasional clips in post. The lav packs are also made of plastic so I'm slightly concerned they may break if they get squished, that being said i cant really comment on it as ive made sure that hasnt happened yet. The Sennheiser EW lavs packs are made of metal and can take a pretty good beating, so who knows with these. Great connection, the omni mic is fantastic, but waaaaaay too much noise, would not recommend. I would wait for the EW to go on sale and pick up those instead
