Would this be suitable for monitoring how much battery life I have left in my lithium battery or would it be overkill for my needs? Thanks

I know this is late response, but this unit does measure amp hours that have gone through the battery, so if I have a 9Ah battery, and it was fully charged. I could get a reasonable idea of how much life I have left in the battery by subtracting the amount of amp hours that have gone through this meter from the amp hour capacity of the battery. Hope this makes sense and helps even if it is too late.

Is it safe to run current flow in either direction? example: a ups battery that may trickle charge a battery?

How does the auto reset function work? Does it have to be unplugged to reset?

I have never had to reset mine, but unplugging and plugging back in will work
