Works great, but
I was hesitant to purchase this hub since there were no review and I wasnt familiar with the brand. I pulled the trigger anyway, and it has worked perfectly with one caveat. On the Surface Pro it covers half of the volume rocker (It doesnt sit close enough to activate it however). Not a big deal for me as there are other ways to adjust the volume and I usually have the volume all the way down any way. This is a perfect solution to adding some inputs to a great device.

Love it.
Provides a much needed extra USB port and card reader. I leave my mouse in one port and use the other for whatever. I have even connected a 4 port hub and had 6 items and a memory card installed..... worked like a champ. Even works with an external USB powered bluray burner.

Not really made for Surface
I bought this for my wife's surface. Because it has a design that fits the edge of the surface it is advertised to fit surface. But it is not thought through properly. When you are using this USB hub you cannot plug the charger for surface. So use it only when Surface is charged. I do not recommend buying this. I though that it would have been well designed as they advertised it to be made only for Surface.

My wireless mouse & a flash drive work fine when connected
This product worked very well on my Surface RT. I ordered it right before I left on a long trip beginning of December. I give it 3 stars now only because I have not figured everything out yet. My wireless mouse & a flash drive work fine when connected. I still have not been able to make it work with an SD card, but it maybe that I have not done something right. Have not yet tried the other connections. It does not feel flimsy although I would be careful about not dropping it, as it is made out of plastic. I am happy with it so far.

Great solution for use w/Surface RT
This USB Hub is designed well for use with the Surface RT.I was looking for a USB Hub that would fit on the side of my Surface RTwithout dangling so I could use my mouse and a flash drive at the same time.Works well, just wished they had 3.0 version. Also, when it's plugged there is justenough room for the power cord to plug as well. Just wished it would plug in tighter. All in all, it's designed right and works just fine.

Good Product for Microsoft Surface
Works exactly as you would expect on a Surface RT. Fits the side of the Surface perfectly and adds additional USB ports as well as a card reader. If you need either of these on your Surface RT, I recommend purchasing this product.

Look for another solution if you need multiport functionality.
The dongle fits very loosely into the device, making it difficult to remove your dongles devices without removing the dongle as well. Creates/causes communication errors with dongles equipment on first gen RT as well. I can not recommend this device.

I Wish It Was USB 3.0
This does exactly as advertised: two USB 2.0 ports, etc. I have a USB 3.0 peripheral (LeapMotion Controller), so this doesn't work for me.Pay no attention to the micro-USB port. It's power-only. The only possible use I can think of is to charge two phones from one AC-to-USB power adapter. On the Microsoft Surface RT, it doesn't cover any ports. On the Microsoft Surface Pro, it covers the Volume-Down button.
