LENCENT 2 to 3 Prong Outlet Adapter, 3 to 2 Prong Grounding Adapter

I live in a room-for-rent in an older home, and the plugs in my room are the old two prong plugs without ground. These work wonderfully and fit snuggly against the wall and socket making it so I can plug in my three-prong devices just fine! I did remove the wall outlet plates as it gave me better "grip" on the center screw this uses to attach to the outlet. I saw some other reviews complaining about loose plugs, but I didn't notice that on my unit. It also seems that the outlet boxes in the room I'm in do provide some form of ground in my situation, but your milage may vary. This isn't magically going to add ground to outlets that don't have ground - in niche cases like mine where the actual outlet box is grounded due to how close it was to a recent electrical upgrade in the nearby bathroom you'll have success, but in others, it is just an adapter without ground. If you need a properly grounded outlet, an electrician is your only safe bet - and I know it's pricey, but it's the truth. Don't risk a house fire due to incompetence. Some other reviews on here have mentioned that their hot and neutral sides are swapped, and that is more than likely from them having the plug on the wall upside down (If that's the case for you, flip the plug upside down and test again). In my case, I did not notice that with an outlet tester in the expected orientation of the outlet. The only big downside is that the blue light on the bottom of the outlet is perpetually on. It also doesn't accurately tell you if you have a grounded connection or not - it turns on no matter what when power is applied (I did testing myself to see if that was the case). All in all, it's a good outlet adapter. It's a bit pricy for what you get, but it works fine. The spacing of the plugs on the angled sides to help with organizing bulkier cables, but do keep in mind that heavy power bricks will have problems on most wall outlets - and is not the fault of this product at all. I'd recommend using power strips if you have heavy wall plugs instead of just relying on this adapter alone.

I got this to use in the outlet behind the washing machine. The washer is in an enclosed porch, and the outlet is about 4'up a wall under a window. The cats sit in the window and when they get down, they step on the outlet and unplug things. I got this to see if having a way to attach it to the wall and being able to change where things were plugged in at would help. It was exactly what I needed. The outlet is old (pre 3 prong), so I needed a grounding ability. This is great, it is a two prong plug, with a 3 prong outlet. The screw uses the grounding ability. The only problem I seem to be having, and this could be because the outlet is so old, is that the screw doesn't seem to be quite long enough to hold the outlet in properly. It's been raining, so the cats haven't been there. I have purchased 2 more for other places in the house and plan on getting a few more.

Moved into an older home with only two prong plugs. This is so much better and continent than the individual 2 to 3 prong adapters.

This is everything it says on here. It worked great for what we needed it for. Plus I like the fact it has all all those extra plug-ins. It fit perfect as well.

This product was purchased to replace a power strip that sat on the counter. This design gives me six outlets that are up and out of the way. The build is solid and there is a built in surge protector for your devices. The most important feature for me is the design to replace the short screw that holds on the outlet faceplate. This product ships with a much longer screw with the same size threads that holds this unit snugly to the actual outlet box in the wall. That means when you pull out the plug from the device, this unit is locked in and does not wiggle loose. Just a note, the above mentioned screw had to be pushed all the way into the slot until the head is flush with the frame. Once properly installed this thing is rock solid and looks nice as well. Highly recommend.
