depending on your application, you should use 2 grams per gallon of water. Typical 3-2-1 formula is 3g part A, 2g Cal Nit, 1g epsom salt per gallon of water

I have never mixed it with water. I just use it as side dressing for fruit trees and grape vines. Putting it around tomato plants causes excess vine growth and very few if any tomatoes.

It can be used as a source of Nitrogen for the soil around a lime tree. You would also want a source of Phosphorus and Potassium.

Excellent CaNO3 (calcium nitrate) fertilizer. Very pure, with granules consistent in size. Not inexpensive, but probably the best form of nitrate you can buy, especially during the winter when ammonium toxicity is a concern.

Great results

I use this fertilizer on onion plants in tall raised beds every two weeks before they start to bulb. Then no fertilizer at all. This one keeps them making huge foliage and they stay dark green and growing great even after I stop the application and only water every day a little. Very good fertilizer and I have used it for several years. I will buy more.

Best soil amendment for fertilizing tomato pksnts

I have found that calcium nitrate is the best solution to preventing blossom rot in tomato plants. Use 1 tsp. per gallon of water on potted plants or 1 T. Per gallon on field planted tomatoes.Also great on pepper plants.
