This is my second one of these jackets. The first one lasted about 8 years.

The jacket has some pros, many cons, and could easily be improved.ProsThe zip-off sleeves are polyester lined (not mentioned in the description). Very nice surprise.The mesh back vent is well vented with 14" verticle vents.ConsIt's made in China.The material is cheap, thin Chinese cottonIt looks rumpled and unkemptThe torso length is too long; the design needs to be shortened to sport coat lengthThe number of gimmicky pockets on the outside approaches ridiculessness, while the lonely two pockets on the inside need help. Inside pockets need to have sealable pockets for passport, airline boarding passes, and the like.The stitching quality is poor with numerous loose ends and loops appearing in the stitches; however, there are no stitch gaps.The design could be substationally improved by simplifying the exterior pockets, improving the interior pockets, using a vented back cape design to give some protection from the elements, and using a higher quality rip-stop, poly-cotton fabric. Such a jacket in this price range would be a great value. I would love to see this product produced by Tru-Spec or similar quality manufacturer.

Regardless what a few others say, the quality of this coat is very good. Fairly good material (rather heavy), good stitching (according to my wife) and the fit for Large is perfect; especially the cuffs and the material in back. I can move my arms up and down and forward with no restrictions from lack of material in the back. Pockets galore!! Don't think I've found them all yet!!. Downside is strange plastic-like lining in sleeves - it crinkles and crackles when handled?? Will it hold up? Too it came wrapped up like a Butterball turkey - crammed into a tight plastic bag that caused it to come out a wrinkled mess. Had to iron it to get a decent appearance. Too, there is no washing instructions?? Anybody got any suggestions? I am not 100% sure I'm gong to keep it. More later...

I got this because Senegal, Africa gets rather chilly and windy this time of the year. The jacket is warm but it has venting in the back to keep cool in warmer weather. I can remove the sleeves which me well. The color is a little darker than I wanted but it is still a nice jacket.

I like jackets like this for when I travel. Unzip the sleeves when it's hot,,, throw a sweater on underneath when it's cold. The only negative is that it almost has too many pockets. I've lost items until I figured out which pocket they were in.

The fitting is adjustable, the length of the sleeves and jacket are good, it has 14 different size pockets and it's vented!!! What more could you ask for!!!

I purchased this jacket and loved it. I would have preferred a "lighter" color on the Khaki, but everything else is awesome! You DO have to "remember" which pocket you put things, but I love the jacket. And the "zip-off" sleeves make it awesome!!"During a recent move I have misplaced it ...time to get another one!!!
