Flexcut Mini Detail Carving Knife

I am a beginner in carving wood spirits on canes. This knife gives me the control to smooth out details and correct what I view as mistakes. It is extremely sharp. Like many not-so-good carvers, I have a tendency to want to pry out chips. With the risk of this breaking the blade, I have bought a backup of this knife. I rely so much on it, I do not want to be without one. I also use the regular Flexcut detail knife and the carving knife. I always try to buy American, both to support my American working brothers and sisters, and because our craftsmanship is world class. This knife is an example of that craftmanship. I only wish Flexcut made this knife in the Special Edition with a South American Bocote wood handle. They are very cool.

I really enjoy the flex cut brand of carving knifes. I feel that they offer a solid value for money, and should be considered for anyone getting into wood carving. For the record i do not have a lot of familiarity with other "high end" brands. But I was happy with this purchase.
