A: With a hack saw, just like aluminum or steel.

**Q: Are these polished brass?**
A: yes. nice quality, good brass

**Q: are they 36" each or all 5 combined.?**
A: 36" each

**Q: Can I use it on wall for accent gold trim?**
A: It is a flat bar stock. You could use it for your accent but the pieces are only 3ft long. So when you join 2 pieces together you would have a obvious seam. Also I'm not sure how you would attach the pieces to the wall without having some drywall damage if you remove them later.
