I opened it to adjust the volume but I cannot find a volume button. How do u fix the volume?

The volume can be adjusted by the pressing the small button above the battery compartment. Thank you

Where do you adjust the volume on this item???

The volume adjust is on the inside. The instructions walk you through the steps. Easy.

Does this work in cold temperatures? I want something like this for my sunporch, but we can get some freezing temps that can last weeks.

In the door way. Interior Door jam. We have 21 degrees rt now.. works. We also have high winds that sometimes pull the door.. w/o crossing the door jam. It signals. We r ok we that because it sdnds us to close the door better

My office is upstairs and I need to know when a client comes in. I have tried many different things. Do you think this would be loud enough?

You may want to look at a 2 piece system that would detect motion at the door, but then ring in your office upstairs. Check out the ERA-UTDCR.
