Fantastic product - We have a slow well and use it to fill a 500 gallon tank which went to a pressure pump to feed our house. This VFD pump is so much better than the old pressure pump and it’s 40-60 psi swing. Now it’s always 60 psi ! I kept the large pressure tank in circuit just to buffer the pump from turning on if someone just fills a glass of water. Install was easy. I was concerned that fittings were BSP but they are 1” NPT. I put a screen filter on inlet just to catch and prevent debris from getting into the pump. Hope this pump lasts 20 years like the last one.

Our home has incredibly poor water pressure because of our home's location in relationship to our municipality water tower. I've been researching booster pumps for a while because there are so many pumps and information/reviews online are sparse - or at least have a different use-case from mine. One of the main requirements I had was a pump that wouldn't shake my entire home. I wanted the quietest pump possible in my price range and the E.Sybox Mini 3 kept coming up. Finally decided to give it a shot and pulled the trigger. When I opened the box and pulled the pump out, a little bit of water came out of the ports. I also noticed what looked like fingerprints on the pump. At first I thought it was a returned unit I got, but now I believe it was just a result from testing before leaving the factory. Not a huge deal, but probably could be a little bit better on the presentation side. The quick start manuals in the box are just okay. You really have to visit the DAB website to get the full manual which is very in-depth. The quick start manual does have a dedicated storage spot under the top lid, which is pretty nice. There's also a maintenance tool included, which I really appreciated. It's plastic and kept me from using a flathead screwdriver and marring the ports up. It also has an end to remove parts for maintenance. This is a nice touch. Overall installation was easy to install - mine was a little more difficult because I had to retrofit a bunch of our plumbing where the line comes in from the outside. First, I was under the impression that the wall mount was included, which turned out to not be the case. After spending a considerable amount on this pump, the wall mount costing an additional $150+ is a little ridiculous. I was able to mount mine on the wall using a French cleat I made. (For anyone looking for more info, the mounting bolt holes on the back fit 6mm bolts). The pump weighs a little over 30 pounds, so if you're mounting it on a wall try to figure out placement first so you don't have to hold it in place and measure. Final installation note was in regards to the threads on the ports. Another reviewer here talked about a constant leak from the threads and I had the same experience. What finally solved it was to wrap the bushing/male threads in teflon tape a bunch of times - way more than you normally would for sealing plumbing threads. Doing it this way finally gave a solid seal and I've had no issues since. After three weeks, the honeymoon period has not worn off - we absolutely love this pump! We immediately jumped up to about 60 psi in our home and it is awesome to have our fixtures working like a lot of homes do. The pressure is constant and it kicks on very quickly. We installed it with a 6.5 gallon tank and a Cycle Stop Valve. With this system we don't have any lag when turning on a faucet and the pump kicks in immediately. There is no noticeable spin up time or lag; it just works when we need it to. The first time I turned it on I was blown away by how quiet it is. When it runs it is shockingly quiet. Noises can be a huge distraction to me and this pump is in the room next to my office and it never bothers me. This feature alone made me feel like we made the right choice with this pump. The smart features of this pump are really nice too. I love that I can dial down the pressure overnight so when my water softener refreshes, the pump isn't pushing as much to keep the pressure up. I can see how much power and water I'm using in the app, and even connect it to HomeAssistant to monitor and automate. There are two apps, one is free and the other has a monthly fee; I found the free one to be just fine. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the pump and glad it was everything we were hoping for.

Background: Purchased and installed this pump after two Grundfos SCALA2 pumps failed (progressively worsening leak) after just over a year's lifespan each. Need a water booster for inferior water pressure from municipal supply. Installation: Super simple (if you're replacing a booster pump with all requisite diverter lines and valves in place). Mounted it vertically to the wall with a custom french cleat and 6mm bolts (did this based on another amazon review - thanks for the tip!!). As noted by the other user, there's an OEM mounting kit but that's quite pricey and I struggled to find one in stock at various vendors. Connected the female hydraulic connections using 1" stainless steel nipples, reducing bushings to get it down to 3/4", and SS flex hoses. NOTE! TO AVOID LEAKS, either use stainless steel thread tape, OR ensure you use a thicker variety of thread tape (I used hercules megatape - hope it stays leak free), about 7 turns vs the suggested 4 or 5 turns. The installation manual states the female brass connections in the pump are 1" GAS, but that's incorrect. For the US market pump, they're appropriately NPT, and it's marked as such on the connections. Also, note that if installation is below head/serviced from city water, self-priming can be deactivated by flipping the pipe shutter around. Overall install time including mounting to wall was about 3 hours, but this included re-sealing reducer bushings that I apparently did a shoddy job on and had a slow drip. Commissioning: Since it was commissioned from municipal water, this was super simple. Plug and play, apart from one initial step to bleed the air from the system before turning on. Other reviewers' complaints about the installation guide being inadequate: This is a lazy user complaint. Yes, the Quick install guide is mostly illustrated and contains the most basic information, but there's a thorough text-based installation manual on the DAB website guiding the installation process. Everything I needed to know was in the online text-based manual. I would have expected end users to do the minimum research when opting to install something as intricate as this. Besides that, the visual quick install guide is still quite straightforward. If you can build a LEGO model or assemble something from IKEA, this guide isn't much different. Performance: I don't want to get too excited - it's only one day since go-live, but the performance is stellar. This pump is MUCH quieter than the SCALA2; which used to blare at even low speeds, getting considerable more obnoxious as demand increased. The noise from this pump is a very low hum, with some elevations in noise if demand increases, but not nearly as loud as the Scala. Vero low, if any, vibration when in operation. Putting it this way - I have a HE washing machine/tumble dryer running in the same utility room as this, and we barely hear the pump when it runs concurrently. Onboard control interface: Not suitable for the mentally deficient, but clear enough to navigate when used with the included instructions; and the LCD display is a massive value-add. Optional UI: Connected it to DAB Live. Not much to write about. App performance suffers has bad latency. Limited functions other than Power Shower and Sleep Mode. I'm not gonna ding them on the app, that's an extra. There's an additional app which I think is called D-Connect, but I believe that's for more Overall: So far, much much much better than the SCALA2. I hope it outlast the Scala's ~12-18 months lifespan.
