Is this bag waterproof?

It's rain proof; which means it will tolerate about as much rain as you will. So, in a blowing rain storm when you're getting a little soggy under your umbrella, it'll do fine over your shoulder. I have the 11.6" bag.

The "15.6" bag looks small. Does it fit a 15.6" laptop comfortably, or is it a really tight fit?

The internal dimensions of the 15.6" bag are listed as 14.7". So how can it fit a 15.6" laptop if it's only 14.7" wide? Does your laptop fit?

The 15.6" bag is the one we use at our office. My laptop, a Dell Latitude 5490, fits just fine. But it apparently has a 14" screen.

Will my 17.3" HP laptop fit? It says it's for 17.3" laptops, but the length of the case says 17"?

You need to look at the actual dimensions of the bag compared to your laptop. 17.3" diagonal screens come in different sized laptops. For example, my 17.3" HP laptop (model 17-g121wm) has a width of 16.49". The internal dimensions of this bag are 16.5" wide. So while my laptop might JUST fit in this bag, 1/100th of an inch is a little too tight to risk it, in my opinion. Sucks because it is really quite hard to find a decent bag that accommodates most 17.3" laptops, without spending a fortune.
