These are nicely made, surprisingly lightweight, yet sturdy. Mechanisms operate smoothly. They work great with my Yamaha DBR10 speakers, which weigh 23 lbs. I like the retainer pin for safety so the pole isn't held up just by friction, and that the retainer pin has a hole to keep it from dangling when the stand is folded up for transport. Only has a 35mm top but that's all I needed for my speakers. Less expensive than the Gator Frameworks stand but seems to be of similar quality. I found a great leveling kit that works with this stand, makes it easy to adjust the tripod for uneven ground at outdoor gigs: Gravity leveling kit

I have been using the Speaker Stands Pair with my PA speakers, and they’ve been sturdy and easy to set up. The adjustable height makes it simple to position the speakers where I need them, and the safety pin locks give me extra confidence that they’ll stay at the height I choose. The steel construction feels solid, and the tripod bases provide good stability. I like that they fold down when I’m finished using them, making them much easier to transport and store than stands that don’t collapse. The 35mm speaker mounts fit my PA speakers securely. Even with the speakers mounted, the stands feel balanced and stable. Having two stands in the set is convenient for events where I want speakers positioned on both sides of the room.

Outstanding value! Well built and sturdy. I use it to hold a 30 ft mast for a Ham radio antenna. Quick and easy to setup/takedown. Highly recommend this tripod for heavy duty use!

Bought one to replace another that got lost. Seems to hold up well. Lightweight. Folds up easily.

Pyle equipment has worked for me, but it's never very robust. If you're going to be tearing down and setting up your PA system on a regular basis, spend more on higher quality stands. These work and are stable, but Pyle likes to use some really brittle plastic and soft metals so things like to break off or strip after a while. I will keep buying Pyle equipment for my basement jam room, but if I was going to break down and set up equipment on a regular basis I would go with something else.
