Stanley Adventure Even-Heat Camp Pro Cookset

We got this kit for car camping, and it's awesome! The entire kit sits within the large pot, and there are image directions printed within the set on the underside of I think one of the pans so you know how to layer them to make it fit. The small frying pan and large pot heats up quick, so I use the lowest setting on my gas stove to cook. To boil water, the highest stove setting will heat up water very quickly. The frying pan has a movable latch which you must push towards the base of the pan and it cannot be moving or loose, otherwise, when you pick up the pan, the handle will move and the pan will fold over on itself. We've now used this kit for over a year for numerous camping trips, and it works like a champ! We probably won't upgrade for a very, very long time because it's durable. Cleaning burned off food can be a pain, but with a soak and a scrub, everything comes off fairly easily - we've never had issues with cleaning. There is also a small flat piece of plastic, which is a dish rack for the plates - it's ingenious and well thought out, because laying dishes out while camping can be annoying. It's a great kit for beginner campers, car campers, glampers, and backyard camping. Weight-wise, I wouldn't get this if you're rappelling up mountains, or going somewhere remote. Otherwise, it's really paid itself off in how many times we've used it, and will continue to use.

Purchased this set to upgrade an older camping kitchen. It wasn't my first choice for new cookware but the previous reviews sold me on it and I figured for the price I could just test it out and then part ways if it doesn't hold up. Well, Used it for a week while camping (6/17-6/21/19) and was very impressed. So size: it's a small set, but the pot is great! we made a multitude of chili/soups/pasta w/sauce and steamed veggies. It heats up quick and evenly and cleaned super easy with mild soap and warm water every time. The lid acts as a strainer and could use a bit more drain holes but other than that it held up just fine. The handles however did get hot while on our Coleman Stove but workable. The skillet is very tiny so we brought a larger one and used the one with the set for reheating smaller portions for our 3 yr old. The plates are not designed for adults but work great for a toddler. We used the bowls just about exclusively, those are a great addition to the set. We didn't use the trivet/drain rack or cutting board and just left those home. The sporks worked well. The part of the set that blew me away was the spoon and spatula specifically since they break apart for storing. Those items are very sturdy and held up real well. I was expecting something cheap but again, surprised by the well they held up after a weeks worth of use. I have no regrets about buying this set and would recommend it to any person/family looking to upgrade their car camping kitchen set.

bought this for our family of 4 emergency grab and go packs and is perfect for it - and it is so awesome it has become my go to daily cookware - the pot is a fairly heavy stainless steel and should last a lifetime of use, super quality as is most stanley products - the skillet is incredible, very heavy bottom for even heating but not so heavy as to be easily packable in our emergency gear - bowls and plates are good quality plastic and heavy enough to last a long time with care - the plates fit perfectly on bowls to act as a cover for leftovers - some say paltes are too small but they are perfectly sized to fit in the pot, they work quite well - sporks are best design i have ever used, if you like sporks any way - the drying rack also acts as a good insulator to keep hot pots off of tabletop - the big spoon and spatula fit together very securely but i am guessing over time they will loosen up but probably not enough to come apart in use - love the addition of a little cutting board and for camping picnincing use its serves very well overall this is a perfect set sized for a family of four, very compact and light for its use (not a backpacking weight) - i highly recommend it not just for camping but everyday use (an inexpensive complete set of cookware for 4) and store all in the pot for space saving

As far as all in one camping cook sets go, this is about the most complete you can get. Ive had this for over a year now. We have used it on 12 different camping trips. We like everything about this kit except the frying pan. The frying pan, while seemingly high quality, is actually terrible to cook with. It is so bad, we dont even bring it with us anymore. The rest of the kit, yes. The plates and bowls work just fine and we have no complaints on those. The sporks are ok, but a little flimsy. The pot is large and the lid is just fine. The plate and bowl holder is handy. The rubber pad works for many things. It is a bit heavy - especially with the frying pan inside - so keep that in mind. This is not lightweight at all. Should last many years, though, and it does feature a lot of pieces. Overall, I would struggle to buy this again. The frying pan was a major selling point for us and it is a total fail. We bought a $7 non stick off the bargain rack to replace it in our bag and it works a thousand times better.

This is such a convenient set for camping! The set includes the pot, a small pan, four plates, four bowls, four sporks, a small spatula, a small serving/mixing spoon, and a heat-resistant tray for you to lay the pot/pan on after cooking. It all conveniently nestles into each other, which is the truly biggest appeal since it can be a headache to pack so many different things for camp trips, especially kitchenware. The plates and bowls are on the small side, so you won't be able to pack big meals on them. The pan is also smaller, but great for things like eggs. The pot is a reasonable size. The latch keeps the lid on the pot so nothing falls out. I will continue using this for many more camping trips!

I love this cookset and all of my friends who I've camped with have loved it too. I can't say enough good things because the quality is exceptional and the functionality is perfect! Everything packs back into the pot which is perhaps my favorite thing. This cookset isn't light weight but it isn't meant to be. I'm a tent camper who camps solo and with others and I always bring it with. To this day the only piece of gear I love more is my Big Agnes sleeping pad. I'd buy it again but it's such good quality I know I'll never have to unless it's a gift for a fellow camper.

Bought this set about a year ago. I've used it about 6 times for camping and it is such a great space saver. Everything packs so nicely into the Pot. It's easy to clean and the stainless steel is good quality. I think I lucked out because I bought it for 50, it was a sale to good to let slip. The bowls are great, I'm ok with their size. It's the plates that are a little to small. I've attached pictures as a reference. The sporks are so convenient, as well as the spatula. They are not heat resistant, so I would be careful leaving them in direct heat. The frying pan is a decent size, I can fry 2 eggs at a time no worries. The one thing about it, is it does not come with a mesh or any cover for traveling. I like to take care of my stuff as much as I can, so not having a mesh was a slight bummer. So I sewed covers for all my Stanley sets when I put them away. They also stack up well in my portable camp kitchen. Overall, this Stanley set deserves 5 stars for me!

Love my Stanley Base Camp Cook Set for 4. A really nice 21 Piece Nesting Cookware set. Light to pack, easy to clean, drying mat included. Nice size plates, cutlery, and pans with lids. Repacking instructions under the lid so it can all go back in the way it came out. As Grandpa and Nana, we've carried the load of packing enough of everything for everybody when we camp. Now we've lightened our load to let the next generation pack and haul it all out and back. This little cookware set is a great size for the two of us (and a guest or two if we like) and sure reduces the amount of kitchen items we would haul to mountain camp each trip. I do miss my cast iron skillet with lid to cook with in camp, but I still use it at home. At our age, packing light is a blessing.

I am pleasantly surprised to find the Stanley cook set is large and does look sturdy to me. It was cleverly designed to fit essential items for eating and cooking. The pan is indeed thick at the bottom and can easily be stacked inside. I'm so happy the package came earlier just before our weekend stay at by the beach.
