Saved my chest freezer finish
A serving tray kept on my chest freezer scratched the finish. This repaired it easily and very well.

Good for Bath Tub Repair
I got a chip in my bath tub about the size of a quarter when a mirror fell off the wall onto the edge of it, the steel tub was fully exposed under the porcelain. I first tried to repair it with a porcelain repair kit I got from the hardware store where you mix two small bottles of liquid together and then have a short time to apply it. This worked at first but then when my wife cleaned the tub just a couple months later the whole repair patch came loose and fell off. Then I decided to try something else so I found this on Amazon and decided to try this Touch Up paint instead. I have to say that this product is far superior in comparison, I used the brush tip to do my repair. It is far more convenient as all you have to do is shake the bottle and when you are done you just put the cap back on and use it later. I turned the ventilation fan on while I did the repair and the odor didn't really bother me. I put on three coats, 1 hour apart, and the color match is almost perfect with the tub's porcelain, its just barely whiter but you would never notice it unless you looked for it. I am very happy with this product.

Painted the appliances and my fingers too
This item got the job done but it has an unexpected fault. Forget about the thing where there's a "roller ball for fine work". I couldn't get it to work. And yes I know it says there's a piece to take out and I may not have done that correctly (I ripped something or other out though). But that's the point--I'm probably going to buy something like this once every few years and so it should not require a learning experience. I tried all different ways and eventually spilled paint on some of my fingers--it doesn't come off as easily as ordinary oil base paint would. So, if you think of it as a low-priced self-contained brush solution, you'll like it much more. Once I threw away some unexplained fragment and just used the brush, it was very convincing. I know where I painted but other people have not been able to tell me where I painted when I tested them. There is a thickness to it and it can dry with bumps if you're not careful. To minimize that, drag once or twice in the same direction and then stop--don't smear it all around. If the surface underneath is dark and it shows, still only do one or two passes, then repeat every few hours until you like the way it looks--it will dry better and look better. It's not quite self-leveling but it does tend to flatten out around its own edges and that helped it blend in. I found the smell ok. If you go to the gas station and smell gasoline without problems, you'll be ok. If you use nail polish remover without problems, you'll be ok. Etc. It just smells strongly of chemical solvents. Other things to do to make it work better. 1) Mix it first, they mean it 2) Light up the area where you're working 3) Clean the area first even if it looks clean, then let it dry 4) careful not to paint in a bug or food, etc., that looks like a chip in the paint 5) For appliances that heat up (like the stove), let it dry overnight before using. Would I buy it again? Sure. After all, it worked. Just consider it a paint tube with a brush and be careful if you do try to use the roller ball.

Works great with a smooth finish!
This paint product effectively covers surfaces with a smooth finish. The paint flows smoothly and is easy to use. We are able to touch up metal folding chairs that we use in a party rental business, and It works wonderfully. The paint remains in place without chipping off, even after extended use. We will continue using this product in our business.

Perfect for tiny scratches
After waiting a year for a refrigerator, it was finally delivered and installed. I wasn’t happy when I noticed a scratch on the side that was visible when you enter kitchen. It was only 1/4” long and not deep, but the fridge is white, so the black scratch was definitely visible. There was no way I was going to go through the process of a return after I waited so long for this one, so I started looking for options. This product seemed like it might work for such a tiny scratch, so I tried it. I think the trick is to apply many coats, allowing each to dry before applying another. The dark scratch was covered after second coat, but I repeated coats until there was no visible indentation. The scratch is no longer visible. Problem solved.

Get something better
Pros: it works Cons: short term. Good for staging but if you’re looking for long term, this is NOT it. I used on my stove, color was good. After a month and cleaning. It’s all came off

Multi-purpose Touchup Paint: Stove top and Hydroflask
This product worked exactly as expected. Our stove top was chipped when a cast-iron sandwich press fell on the edge. Using the touchup paint was like painting with nail polish. The abrasive tip to prep the surface was a thoughtful addition to include in the product. Next, a more unexpected use was on my well-loved white Hydroflask water bottle. For months I've been walking around with a chipped and dented bottle after I accidentally dropped it on the sidewalk. This touchup paint worked great for covering the bare metal and hopefully will prevent future chipping at those spots. The one difference is the surface texture. Hydroflask has dusty feel, while the Krylon paint is slick and shiny. Honestly, though, it's a huge improvement over the disaster it looked like before.
