Bought this connect a 5lb tank to my Ninja Thirsti. It's not officially supported but works great. I have to leave the little door open where the smaller tanks would normally go but that's fine (I'll eventually just cut a little slot in the side for it). It's also a bit of a pain to connect this securely to the Ninja Thirsti due to it's design. I ended up using some 90 degree pliers to get it on (needle nose won't work, you need something that can reach up inside of there and turn). Fortunately you only ever have to connect it once. If you want to connect a larger CO2 tank to the Ninja Thirsti then this is exactly what you need.

Best thing I ever bought for my original SodaStream and I can exchange the 5 pound CO2 cylinder at a gas shop nearby in my town for 14 to 15 bucks. Saves you HUNDREDS of currency units or in my case, dollars when factoring needing to buy a certain number of SodaStream bottles, buying an additional one to have instilled while shipping the rest off, needing to pay shipping, and ALL these other costs. The worst thing you have to do is get a hole saw for your drill to make a hole in the back of the part that clicks on or clicks off to detach so you can run the hose through, but that's so easy to install! It's compatible with the first generation of SodaStream Machines. It works with the SodaStream like if it had a bottle installed. The fit's precise, the pressure delivery is consistent, and it's of highest, simplest rigidity, which is what you want if you want to strive for quality. This is your ideal solution to revitalize your SodaStream device sitting abandoned in shelf, 2KrazyKetos is a YouTube Channel that will show you how to do it.

It worked for 3 days and then the adopter started leaking CO2 as soon as the valve is open from the CO2 tank. Extremely disappointed. I opened it and checked and connected with the tank directly and confirmed it’s leaking gas. The pin doesn’t need to be depressed and it leaks

===== UPDATE, May 2023 ====== I was contacted by the seller via email, who graciously offered to replace the defective part free of charge! Customer service was prompt and friendly. They sent me a packet of replacement gaskets which fit perfectly now I'm back in business. They clearly go above and beyond to take care of their customers. ===== ORIGINAL REVIEW ====== Like other reviewers, mine started leaking...right after the 30 day return policy ended. I had to shut off pressure after each use, which nearly defeats the whole point of the valve. I was able to open the valve using a 6mm hex wrench, to confirm that the gasket inside the valve (on the stem itself) was cracked and crumbling. It was either very old, or subjected to harsh conditions of some kind, or poor quality, etc. Because I could not return it, I looked for replacement gasket. Unfortunately I could find no good alternatives, but I was able to make do with a cheap gasket out of a variety bag. It still leaks.

Works great! Our local source for Soda Stream cylinder exchange is no longer available. I bought a 20 lb tank of food grade CO2 from the local gas supplier and this adapter from Amazon. Wish I had done it a long time ago. It would have saved me some money.
