Pennington Bare Spot Repair Mix Central,1 LB, Grass Seeds for Lawn

I put the whole bag down on Monday night, after they cut our lawn. I have patches of dirt from dogs and dead grass. On Thursday morning I saw little sprouts. That night even more. Woke up on Friday and they keep growing and growing. I water in the morning and at 9pm. So, far very impressed with this product. The area gets full sunlight and the temps are in the 90s. Raining hard now, will see how it holds up. Will edit if anything changes.

This is the best seed grass mixture I have ever used. It was wonderful and stayed green throughout the summer. I thought is was a little slow to sprout.

This is actually coming up and all I did was spread it by hand and water it. Still rather thin, but is still growing and looking really good. Germination took a bit longer, but worth it. Curious however as I purchased a different brand of grass from same company that never did anything. Either way, I do recommend this one

Pennington Bare Spot Repair Grass Seed Mixture is a nice option for small lawn repairs without having to buy in bulk. It’s convenient for quick touch-ups and works well for filling in bare spots. Overall, a practical and easy solution for minor yard fixes.

So far I am not impressed with this grass seed. Nothing and I mean nothing has sprouted at all. I have tried twice and nothing is coming up. I have had better luck with the seed from dollar tree.

It kind of grows…so I purchased these seeds because the bag says that full sun is ok with this grass. Didn’t mention that shade is preferred to germinate these. I took a picture of what I have growing so far and it distinctly shows where the dirt gets shade and where it doesn’t. This picture was taken on day 8. Really saw some growth around day 6 and actual sprouting in the shade at around day 4. I’ve been heavily watering it three times a day, so this also requires a lot of watering throughout the day. The dirt has consistently been wet since I laid down the seeds, so if you’re not having luck, it probably means that you’re not watering it enough. Also want to mention that realistically, this bag probably does not cover 100sqft. I would probably say a tenth of that is realistic. To give you all an idea, I laid down about a cup of the seeds in that tiny 8”x12” area. I should’ve laid down more for a thick patch of grass.

This grass seed you get a lot in the bag it’s perfect for filling in spots, and it’s also perfect for the classroom. We used it to grow grass with our preschoolers, and it lived up to its type of fast growing, which was perfect for us.

Grass grew in beautiful and fast.
