I've read many reviews on the packaging and damage during shipping for many of these cabinets. This came fully assembled with no damage at all. The only set up I did was adjusting the back rails all the way back. This is a very high quality rack. I highly recommend the back hinge if you plan on working in the rack regularly. I find that I open it up almost every time I need to do something in the rack. So much easier to work on it with free back access. For my low heat equipment, I like the open vents for free air flow. Steel is thick, welds look good, tolerances are tight, very confident in the build. Installed with 4 lag bolts (5/16x2in) into studs, holds strong. Again, highly recommend the hinged back for anyone that wants or needs to tinker in their rack frequently.

Solid, well built, cannot fault it. Startech is a quality name.

I was looking for a 12U wall-mountable rack for my new condo. The AV company that pre-wired the place (of course) wanted to sell me a Mid-Atlantic frame. I decided to go with the StarTech. The first thing I noticed is that it was much bigger than I expected. Well part of the reason is that Amazon sent me the 15U version. But that’s turned out to be a nice bonus. The rack is a beast! Very heavy and well-made. The hardware package is also high-quality. I bought the combo with the PDU. That is also very nice. I added a couple of fans, a patch panel, and I’m good to go. I’ve very happy with it.

I really like this Mount Rack Cabinet. It is a good quality product, like the saying goes "you get what you paid for". What I like the most is that I didn't had to put this cabinet together from a thousand pieces as it comes already mounted, ready for you to install it on a wall. Just keep in mind this is a very heavy rack, so don't try to do it alone. I've placed mine against a 84cm width playwood, where I had screwed two 2x4 84cm width timbers to make it really secure. I used a large piece of carboard to create a template of the 16 screws holes (4 in each corner), then I made pilot holes in the timber using the template. Before putting it up with, the help of my SideKick mind you, I removed the sides and the front doors and all the accessories from inside, to reduce the weight. I'll be using this cabinet to house my NAS and Surveillance server running UnRaid, which I'm in the process of building.
