Why did this stop working with my galaxy s9?  it worked for some time then stopped. is it due to android 10 upgrade?  how can i get it to work again?

For Android 10+ system, please download MScopes, AN98 or OTG View(special version for Android 10)from official google play. For system lower than Android 10, please download Camerafi2, MScopes from official google play.

It says the lights are dimmable but can they be turned off if you dont need them? As in running the camera without the lights?

Does this work with the note 5?

This one has the USB-C connector. The Note 5 has a micro-USB I believe.  So without an adapter, it will not work.  There are other ones with the M-USB connector available.

Just as what other customer answered, it is the new type C usb instead of the micro usb, so you need to find an adapter. When you are buying an new adapter, please make sure it support OTG.
As you know, our product is a kind of small camera, we need to make sure the phone support OTG and UVC function, so the data and image can be transferred smoothly between inspection camera and phone. When we use adapters between the camera and phone, we also need to take these factors(OTG and UVC function) of the adapter and compatibility into consideration. That's why we asked you to make sure the adapter should at least support OTG.
(For phone OTG confirmation, you can install a free app "USB OTG CHECKER" to check.)
