Review: Swims longer than I can! - I've had these a few years now. I swim a few kilometers in a chlorinated pool over 60-90 minutes and they last longer than I do. The sound quality is excellent, better than AirPods or my Bose headphones, but not as good as Klipsch. The volume could be louder with the waterproof eartips on but, like others have said, it is probably a good thing for my sake that it isn't louder. I frequently listen on the highest volume while swimming. The bass absolutely SLAPS underwater. Bluetooth will NOT work reliably while swimming, the smallest amount of water will block the signal. You will need to load music onto it. This is because water is particularly good at absorbing 2.45 GHz (which is why microwaves use it). Outside the water, the bluetooth range is excellent. 4 GB is a bit small in 2021 (when I bought it, also in 2023) but it is plenty to load enough music or podcasts on there for a few weeks of working out without repeating content. Now that I bring it up, podcasts are probably the only thing I wish it were louder for. Review: Better then expected - It takes a little bit of getting used to the various button functions and locations on the device and choosing the best ear pieces for fit and comfort. The battery life lasts about 12 hours on mine if only using the built in storage. In Bluetooth mode it only lasts about 5 to 6 hours which isn't bad for Bluetooth. I listen to audio books that I download from the local library into the built in mp3 storage while working and so far I love it. I actually own two of these but the other one does not have Bluetooth so I use it at night time to fall asleep listening to audio books as well instead of watching the television. At first my ears where a little sore until I found the right size of ear pieces, Now it is a perfect fit. I definitely recommend these for anyone who enjoys reading but does not have the time.the price seems a little too high but the use that I have gotten out of it is so far well worth it. ## Features - Waterproof (Fresh or Salt water) for worry-free use. Salt waterproof to a depth of 2 metres, the NW-WS620 can be submerged for up to 30 minutes making it perfect for swimming and water sports. - Works in temperatures from 23Β°f to 113Β°f - Easy Bluetooth connectivity with NFC one-touch - Ambient sound mode - 3-Minute quick charge for 60 minutes of playback - Remote control and Bluetooth connectivity cannot function underwater ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07343TRVR | | Additional Features | water-resistant | | Battery Average Life | 60 minutes | | Best Sellers Rank | #284,750 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #5,023 in Portable Bluetooth Speakers | | Brand | Sony | | Built-In Media | Player | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Laptop | | Component Type | Battery | | Connectivity Technology | Bluetooth, NFC | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 443 Reviews | | Display Technology | no display | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00027242900783, 04548736040328 | | Item Type Name | Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth | | Item Weight | 32 g | | Manufacturer | Sony | | Memory Storage Capacity | 4 GB | | Mfr Part Number | NWWS623/B | | Model Number | NWWS623/B | | Number of Items | 1 | | Screen Size | 1.77 inches | | Special Feature | water-resistant | | Supported Media Type | Micro SDXC | | Supported Standards | MP3, WMA, AAC-LC, L-PCM, and FLAC. | | UPC | 027242900783 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 1 year limited | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sony - **Color:** Black - **Compatible Devices:** Laptop - **Connectivity Technology:** Bluetooth, NFC - **Display Technology:** no display - **Included Components:** Player - **Media Type:** Micro SDXC - **Memory Storage Capacity:** 4 GB - **Screen Size:** 1.77 inches - **Special Feature:** water-resistant ## Images ![Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth,Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51ZI5veGEGL.jpg) ![Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth,Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61DC7ofeDlL.jpg) ![Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth,Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61xoCHI465L.jpg) ![Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth,Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/613wzmiKsTL.jpg) ![Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth,Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51FKm69iMNL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it work like an mp3 player storaging the music in memory? How much memory does it have? Thanks** A: Yes it works like an MP3 player and it stores directly into to headset not sure how much memory but the package tells you; I think it’s a lot it works well **Q: Will this work with Apple Watch 3? Streaming and taking calls?** A: yes, they work good with apple watch, they work good alone as walkman they have 4gb for store your music **Q: Can you purchase different sized eartips that are compatible?** A: there are 2 types came with this earphone. the normal ones that will be available from compatible sellers, whereas the waterproof types (for swimming) you may not able to purchase from other manufacturer other than Sony. **Q: Is there a time limit to using these in the water?** A: I've used them for longer than 30min at a time, upwards to an 1hr and experienced no problems. I would say it would be more important to avoid depths greater than 2 meters. Make sure to clean them properly, as per the manual, if you use them in saltwater. Also make sure to let them dry before storing them. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Swims longer than I can! *by Z***H on January 19, 2023* I've had these a few years now. Awkward, hard to use, hard to get properly positioned. Due to 5 deaths, I lost track of the time to return otherwise I would have. Holds a charge long enough for a 1 hour of lap swim then begins to go downhill. Extremely disappointed. Did I mention the sound is atrocious? ## Frequently Bought Together - Sony NWWS623/B Waterproof and Dustproof Walkman with Bluetooth,Black - Speedo Swim Cap Silicone - Sony NWWS413BM 4GB Sports Wearable MP3 Player (Black) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/43876947-sony-nwws623-b-waterproof-and-dustproof-walkman-with-bluetooth-black](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/43876947-sony-nwws623-b-waterproof-and-dustproof-walkman-with-bluetooth-black) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
