The different shaped ends are great for watercolor painting. The rounded end works well for sopping up excess water and the pointed end is nice for making dots. Also, when a few are bundled together the result is a pretty watercolor flower. Additionally, the dual ends are good for cleaning my dog's ears. When used properly and with care, the rounded end grabs the larger particles of dirt; the pointed end is perfect for cleaning the intricate folds.

Wonder quips . Love the point on one end and the standard on other . They are tightly woven and work wonderfully to clean up oops on eye makeup and liners and also for cleaning small parts in a cats water fountain to keep mold away . So many uses for these I will be buying more !

This is my 2nd time ordering these. The first container lasted a long while. I mainly use these when I apply makeup because the sharp end is perfect for fixing and sharpening my eyebrows after I apply a brown pencil, and they work really well to sharpen my winged eyeliner and eyeshadow, especially when they're dipped into micellar water. The cotton does tend to unravel on the swab eventually, and while all cotton swabs are like this to varying degrees, these are much more durable than those cheap, generic value-pack kinds. I do think they're a good value for the price because you get the sharp and rounded ends, they come with their own resealable container, and the thickness of the material is great for detail work.

These have been great for makeup application, but they’re very versatile and can be used for a number of other things, like taking your makeup off as well and cleaning under your eyes. They come in a little container which is great for travel and they feel like really good quality.

The cotton tip on the left is the supposed XL cotton tip and the one on the right is a regular size Qtip. Very disappointed in this purchase as it is absolutely not XL as described. It is in fact the same size as regular Qtips.
