Excellent quality for the price.
Bought this item as a birthday present for my brother who enjoys walking out in the countryside. He commented that they are a very good fit and very comfortable to wear with his walking boots. So I would recommend them as value for money, warm especially for autumn/winter wear and very good quality.

Very warm , thick
Very warm , thick 66% merino wool socks. Seriously comfortable with seams that CANNOT be felt around toes (or heels) and a dense smooth knit. Clearly better made than any other socks i have had. Bought a second pair within a couple of weeks as want a pair for each day of the working week eventually. Price is higher than other socks but straightaway feel worth it. If they last as long as they are generally accepted to then actually great value in the long run.

Most comfortable socks.
Not too thick or thin, just right. Highly recommend and a perfect fit. I'll be buying more of these.

18 months and going strong
I have 3 pairs that I have on regular rotation for the last 18 months. They're brilliant. They hardly look worn at all. They get worn in walking boots, as slippers mainly inside with the odd putting out bins trip outside, and with crocs nipping to the shops. They've been worn in snow conditions, they been warn in hot sunny hiking conditions. A lot of the time in overcast drizzle. When wet they don't feel overly wet and dry pretty quick. Each pair has been washed and through the normal dryer cycle at least weekly over the last 18 months, and look and feel pretty much as the day I bought them.

Best socks
Yes, they are expensive but having tried many brands of socks over the years (bridgedale, icebreaker, smartwool and lorpen) these are by far the best I’ve used. Perfect for a yomp on the hills. Lifetime warranty as well… definitely worth it.

The Last Socks You’ll Ever Need — Built to Outlast and Outperform
As someone who demands comfort, durability, and performance from every piece of gear I wear, Darn Tough socks have completely won me over. From the moment I put them on, I noticed the difference — snug without being tight, breathable yet warm, and tough enough to take on long workdays, hikes, and cold Canadian winters. What really sets these socks apart is the build quality. The stitching is flawless, the cushioning is just right, and they hold their shape wash after wash without stretching out or thinning. I’ve put mine through months of hard use — work boots, hunting boots, hiking boots — and not a single hole, thread, or complaint. They feel as good on day 100 as they did on day 1. The lifetime guarantee speaks volumes, but the truth is, you may never need it. These are premium socks built for real life — not just for show. Whether you’re working in harsh conditions, backpacking through the bush, or just want a sock that won’t quit, Darn Tough delivers. Honestly, if I could replace every sock in my drawer with Darn Tough, I would — and I just might. If the company ever feels like sending a lifetime supply, they’ll be going to a very good home.

Excellent for Hot and Wet Conditions and Long Wear
I paired these socks with sock liners and hiking water shoes (check out my other reviews) for wade fishing, and they performed above and beyond as expected. -Protection: These socks are thick enough and high enough to prevent bug bites and penetration, especially paired with permethrin and deet, and have kept my feet and ankles protected after hours in the field. -Wearability: Even after hours in the water moving constantly, these socks kept my feet protected and blister-free (may also be attributed to pairing with sock liners). Additionally, they are relatively cooling, and I have not noticed any significant heat buildup while hiking in these. -Moisture Retention: Most of my time in these socks has been while wading, once out of the water they get to work fast. They draw the moisture out from the sock liners and out further through the shoe, drying my feet as I walk. -Durability: These socks have not yet showed any sign of significant wear. As with any quality wool or synthetic sock, just be mindful to follow washing and drying instructions closely. Overall, I highly recommend these synthetic socks to anyone looking for a good set for hiking or other outdoor recreation in hot and wet conditions. If you are looking for good cold weather socks, however, these may not be the best choice.
