Great little book. Well written, good explanations and easy to follow instructions!

I just started making candles from a kit. And this books was so interesting from the history of candles, to why and jow to make candles This iseeded for all beginner.

Very good book. A few things I still don't understand, like how to get the candles out, other than hope they shrink, but very informative and will keep me from making mistakes that I probably would have made.

This book is a beginner book if you have never even seen a candle. It elaboates on the history of candles but I found some huge errors. The part where it describes that candles were once made of whale sperm is wrong. They were made from a part of the head from a sperm whale--very different things. Otherwise, there are general directions and ideas for making candles.

Well written and easy to understand. I loved hearing about the history of candles and the different wax through the centuries. The step-by-step instructions were easy to follow. Great book!

Very informative and helpful.

This booklet was no help in actually making any candles.. It does have info on the different waxes that are out there..

Interesting facts at the beginning about candles then straight into it, clear info about what you need and how to measure. Loved it and a few"recipes" to follow if you wanted to. No faffing around, I like that

Reasonable all round starter book, a few mistakes in it but good otherwise.

The book is good for the technical parts but not much ideas on candle varieties. Maybe more ideas with pictures would add to its value.

I have made candles on and off for years, sometimes reasonably successfully, sometimes not. The book I have feels quite complicated so I looked for a simple, step by step set of instructions and this book is it. Maybe too simple for some, but right up my street
