Where are the hulkman jump starters? they seem to have disappeared from amazon?

I'd bought one thru Amazon last year, but no longer available. You can find them from other retailers (i.e. W-Mart), sometimes at a lower price than the Hulkman site.

Does it work as an insulator as well?

No it does not. It is a high quality case, with padding and felt, but will not keep your charger at a warmer temperature than ambient. The Hulkman 85S will work down to -40°F, -40°C and the 85 model will work down to 5°F, -15°C, in case anyone was wondering. The 85S and higher models have built in warmers to heat the Hulkman battery. If you were talking about an electrical insulator, then yes. The case is non-conducting.

Can the jump starter be kept in the case while jumping a car or truck? Or does it need to be taken out first?

Will this protect your jumpstarter from Florida heat inside your car?

I've got two of the Alpha 85 with the cases... They are very well built and hold everything nicely... They say that the 85 will withstand storage temps of -40 to +135 degrees, I don't know if it was tested with or without the case... I lived in Florida and know it gets pretty hot, Maybe of those horrible hot days... You might either leave it inside the car or take in the house just to be sure... I'm in Ohio now and all my three vehicles are in the garage, I had a Red Fuel that melted in the trunk of my kids car and ruined it !! Buy the case, You won't regret it !!
