The socks are great, the gloves are a miss...
(Updated my review: Originally 3 stars, but increased to 5 stars after the company reached out and offered a full refund due to the gloves not working. Great customer service!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The good: the ice packs have some good lasting power. The bad: the gloves are just way too big to actually cool your finger tips. I have worn these once so far, just finished my first chemo treatment 3 days ago. The socks kept the ice tightly against my feet and I could tell they were working (not the most comfortable feeling, but the job was being done!) The gloves on the other hand are so big that they create a large cavity inside of the gloves where the ice isn't actually touching your hands or fingertips. I tried several times to hold the finger tips down to make contact, but it didn't help. After one treatment, I have burning and tingling in my hands, but not my feet. So this may work for people with larger hands! But not someone with XS glove size hands.

Comfortable
Excellent set. Great quality. Used while going through Chemotherapy. It was suggested by hospital. They recommended a service that rents the same items for $250 a month. I did my research and found these . I purchased several sets for others in Chemo.

Prevents or lessens neuropathy
Highly recommended by Mayo Clinic during chemotherapy. Don’t have to wear them for all drugs, the medical staff will let you know which drugs cause neuropathy. If longer than 2 1/2 hour use, consider getting another set to keep your hands and feet cold. It prevented neuropathy in my feet and reduced in hands during 10 rounds.

Floppy mittens n Sweet Booties
The turquoise boots fit me perfect even over a ed weight crew sock. The mittens are more roomy than i prefer, but the benefit is you can mske s fist or hold somethinh like a stress ball. Fsbric is soft

Medical use
Purchased this product at the suggestion of my oncologist to use during chemotherapy treatments. (To hopefully reduce risk of neuropathy in my fingers and toes.) I have used them during rounds of chemo & to date, & am pleased with the product. Everything you need is included & easy to use, as well as mess free. I typically wear a women’s size 8 & purchased the large set. They are a little big but it doesn’t really matter because the straps hold them in place & you can’t safely walk in them anyway. I also wear a thin pair of socks inside them. The gloves are quite large on my hands, but I don’t mind because it gives me room to wiggle my fingers when they are too cold. It is a gel pack & stays cold They worked so well I purchased 2 sets & one of replacement packs. (I would advise skipping the replacement packs unless you damage one. It’s easier just to freeze the set together rather than trying to change out the ice packs mid use) Side note - I had to travel for chemo so I would freeze them & they would be in an ice chest overnight before using them during treatment. So I changed them to a fresh pair mid treatment(I wanted them as cold as possible to minimize my risk of neuropathy) I am happy to report that I have very little if any after the treatments. I would purchase these again & for friends who have the same unfortunate journey ahead

These Gloves and Socks Actually Freeze
These socks and gloves actually work. They freeze and stay frozen for at least 20 minutes. I bought some slightly cheaper ones and found during chemo that they did not actually freeze, but according to Amazon it’s too late for me to return them.

A must for chemotherapy
While not all chemotherapies can cause a neuropathy, many do. I highly recommend these. I do wish the foot boots were a bit thicker to last a little bit longer, but I countered that with multiple sets.. Also if the facility does not have a freezer, and these need to be used for a long period of time, It is a good idea to get a chunk of dry ice in a cooler to keep frozen. In addition, these do have a lining, but cotton gloves and silk socks are a must to protect the skin.

Gel was so cold
The gel was cold when I first put them on. To the point where my fingers were numb and I had white spots through the gloves(frostbite) within 1/2 hour the gel became warmer and after almost 2 hours they were room temperature. I ordered another set so I can wear them during the entire time. I don’t understand why I blame the freezer refills sell for $2 less than the complete set with the gloves and socks. Ahh well! Needed but not enjoyed
