Or it just projects straight forward?** A: You can adjust it as you want (I have mine sitting on the side from couch), but keep in mind - those adjustments really change (transform/size) picture on the LCD matrix - means, they reduce quality. So best quality is when no adjustment needed - projector located in the middle of the screen. But even with 45 degrees adjustments you're loosing only 35% of quality - 1.4 pixels become 1 pixels.. so from 1080p you're getting something like 720p (which is not bad at all, thinking that your adjustments are made for projector that sitting somewhere in very bad location). **Q: can be used with batteries?** A: Only if you have a battery with either a standard AC jack or the right barrel output. I bought this Pokitter projector for my child to use casually in the backyard. After considerable reading of reviews , I picked this one because of its purported 700 ansi lumens in brightness and true 1080p for reasonable price. It also boasts HDR and true glass lens. However, after watching Netflix for 70 minutes, I could not endure the dimness, low resolution, and significantly low contrast any longer. I watched scenes of movies that I watched before on my Epson projector and my 4k TV for comparison. And the images from the Pokitter appeared like 720p resolution. I really wanted to like this projector but the experience was so disappointing. My 9-year old lcd, ultra-black Epson projector overwhelmingly beat this Pokitter in every way except that my epson does not have built-in speakers. I wonder if the Pokitter really produces 1080p. There’s no way you can find satisfaction when watching with the Pokitter in an environment with any ambient light. I watched with the Pokitter in almost complete darkness and still found its brightness and contrast to be poor. Perhaps I’m spoiled by epson projector. My vision started getting exhausted after struggling with the Pokitter’s limited resolution, dimness (700 ansi lumens?), and very poor contrast. Life’s too short. I rather spend more money to buy a decent projector. I guess this Pokitter projector is ok for kids to watch cartoons and animation.
