L'OR BARISTA Sublime Coffee Capsule Machine by Philips, for Double or Single Capsule, Red (LM9012/50)

been using other capsule coffee machine for years, and this is the first philips capsule coffee machine i ever used; it compatibles to both lor double and nespresso pods, that’s the main reason i want to try as if it supports lor pods only, it’s less attractive and much less choice of flavourthis machine is slightly bigger than most capsule coffee machine, probably because of the dual spout design, can do 2 coffee at the same timethe very first issue i noticed was that, to fully open the lid for pod loading, i need quite some vertical clearance, and that make it barely fit to my kitchen worktop, didn’t expect thatpod tray can accept 2 different size pods (lor double and nespresso), it detects and adjust the water volume automaticallyquite straightforward for volume of water from small to large cup, acceptable working noise, and water flow is smooth and very quickly to finish brewingthe drip tray on top of the cup tray is removable for using large mug, pulling the cup tray can access to pod tray behind it, however the spout will keep dripping for quite a while after a brew, that will make residual dripping on table if i need to dump used podspod tray capacity is enough to hold 10 pods, that matches a nespresso tube of 10 podsno problem with it so far, very good value espresso machine, also it can make coffee with lor double pod, and there are a few coffee choicesall in all, i’m satisfied with this product, would recommend

I bought this machine to replace my 22 year old Magimix Nespresso machine, so it had some impressive shoes to fill. I'd used l'Or capsules in my old machine and been really impressed with the taste and quality. After using it for six months now, I think this is an excellent machine. The capacity of the XXL pods to make a good sized mug of coffee is what gives it an edge over other machines on the market. It's easy to clean and has a decent water reservoir, isn't excessively noisy or messy. The only thing I would consider an improvement would be if it had a bigger container for the used capsules, but this isn't really a major issue. While it doesn't feel as substantial as my previous machine, it still represents great value for money and performs as well or better as much more expensive machines, with reasonably priced capsules that work out at about the same cost to me as buying jars of instant. A must buy for anyone who enjoys a bigger cup of great-tasting coffee.

I've use Nespresso machines for years now and this is my fourth machine after the last one by Dualit only lasted about 14 months which was disappointing. However, this machine is a great replacement and I'd go as far to say it is the best I've had especially based on the price of the machine. I mainly use compatible capsules now and it has taken all that I've thrown at it with no issues as on one machine previously it didn't do so well with some brands. The coffee comes out nice and hot, but not too hot to taint the taste and the speed from button press to completion of coffee is pretty good. I like that it offers three sizes of coffee being that most machines only offer espresso and lungo where as this one does ristretto as well which is extra useful for a little top up to your coffee if it is a particularly strong one. It also takes a larger L'or capsule that basically doubles the size of the coffee. The larger capsules are only available from the L'or brand and a bit on the expensive side, but I did get a sample pack with the machine and they worked great.One thing of note though, the opening on top when in the up position to put in a capsule is quite high so you have to consider where you position the machine so that you are able to open it. Also be careful with the drip tray and it is a little flimsy and I don't think it would take much to damage it if dropped on a hard floor.

I was looking for a machine that would take original Nespresso pods, because they are more reasonably priced than most. I had bypassed this machine a number of times because I thought it was too much with the double nozzle - then spotted it on offer one night and bought one as a gift and one for myself - it is awesome!!Smart looking (love the red), a decent sized reservoir, the simplest operation and love the fact I can pre-set my preferred dose of each size coffee.The tasting selection is great, I went on to order 150 varying L'or original pods which have all been extremely good. But i've also used Nespresso, Starbucks, various compatible aluminium pods and the plastic versions too and so far out of probably 300 assorted pods I have only had one fail.It has a slower pour than some machines, but the plus side of that is a very hot cup of coffee - I find Tassimo and Dulce Gusto machines made fairly tepid drinks in comparison, where the L'or Barista is perfect.I have read a few reviews suggesting it is noisy - it's a coffee machine...it's going to make a noise! Just like a kettle isn't silent!So all in all this machine is so, so good for the money - on offer it's a bargain!
