Been almost a year... Love it!
Great pc. There's no game I can't play on it :) Had it for a full year and I'm a pretty heavy gamer. Everything from DS3 to stellaris to old games like Fallout 3 and NV to Witcher 3. Nothing has failed me yet. Tip: Put Rainbow Six Siege on the SSD drive. Shooters will lag if you use the side storage. So save that for your shooters or intense multiplayer games. If you have a lot of these games, look for a different computer with extra SSD. Laptops are notorious for this, and it's not a fault with this laptop specifically. This is laptops in general if you are a gamer. But with Siege on my SSD, it has no lag. I have Siege and Total war Warhammer 2 and they both run great. I still have space for another game or two. If that helps conceptualize what sort of space this specific pc has on its SSD. Your single player games should all sit on the regular storage, as it doesn't impact it much. Gotta watch out for overheating. Try setting it on a hard surface. It makes a big difference. Also keep the fans at full blast if you're doing something intense. It helps. I can't really fault this PC for heating issues. That's just a normal laptop issue. Especially gaming laptops.... Screen size is amazing. I won't settle for anything less than 17'' as a gamer. But ultimately I hook it up to my main TV... But still! You can't do that at school or on campus. This computer will probably last me another two years before I move on to something in the 11 or 12 series. Three years for games is pretty solid, honestly. Then i'll wipe it and use it purely for work. :)

Perfect Laptop
This Laptop is Amazing, Price wise its affordable for the specs, in terms of Performance "its a Beast", it boots up in few seconds even when i have lots of Apps running on startup, Battery stays for 5-6 Hours of Multi-tasking, and 2 hours playing Games. i play all the games on Ultra setting and its very smooth. The laptop is a bit Heavy but that is fine, the cooling system "Keeps things cool even when playing Mad Max or GTA V", it might get a bit noisy under pressure. the Screen is so bright and the Quality is Perfect. the Keyboard Back-light looks cool when playing in the Evening. will try to update my review as i use it more in depth.

Well worth it.
Bought this about 8 months ago, been using it sometimes for 10+hrs a day for work. After work since I tend to stay on the road I use this at night for gaming, does both without a hitch and runs very cool when compaired to many I have used. Have had zero issues with this, has stood up to being lugged around and used for long periods. Runs games at max settings with no issues as well. Speaker location could be a tad better and top of laptop "back of screen" could be made from a stiffer material. but has caused no issues. Overall extremely happy and this thing will do what I need for many years to come.

Great but lasted only a year and a half.
Was great while it lasted, but died after 1.5 years. Screen flickering and eventually not powering on at all, keyboard not responding. Very disappointing.

World of Warcraft runs beautifully on it
Nothing but positive things to say about this laptop. I use it for World Of Warcraft, Final Fantasy, and Photoshop primarily. The SSD is lightning fast, from pressing the power button to being ready to use takes less than 10 seconds. World of Warcraft runs beautifully on it; the graphics card handles even highly populated raid settings incredibly well. I swapped all my graphic settings to maxed out in-game and I’m still getting between 80-160 FPS depending on how crowded the area is. The backlit keyboard is beautiful. I’m not 100% happy with the touchpad, but I NEVER use it without an external mouse anyway. The screen is absolutely breathtaking. Colors are gorgeous. I would recommend getting a USB hub depending on which peripherals you use because it only has 3, and if you use a secondary monitor with it, the USB port that’s directly under the HDMI port is VERY close and you’ll have a hard time getting anything plugged into it. The only con I can think of is the touchpad, but again that doesn’t bother me one bit since I use a USB mouse. As far as Photoshop is concerned, I have it installed on the SSD and opening it is blazing fast. It took 17 seconds from double-clicking the shortcut to being ready to open an image. The 16GB of RAM is great here, I can work with large files without stuttering or lag. Again, absolutely LOVE this laptop. Would highly recommend to anyone at all, not just gamers or designers. Blazing fast, GORGEOUS screen color, very responsive, comfortable, heavy but not bulky, and so much more.

Laptop good while worked, became unusable and Acer warranty was invalid and charged $700 to fix
**TLDR: Do NOT buy this laptop if you plan on using it for moderate to heavy gaming or video processing. While the laptop was great while it worked, it died right around a year in and Acer customer support and warranty is garbage. ** The laptop was great while it worked as it was a laptop I used for gaming and video editing/processing. However, right around the time a year had passed the computer would shut down anytime there was moderate usage of the GPU including gaming, video processing, etc. After doing a little research, I find that it is a common issue among the Predator laptops with multiple sources of the issue. I tried all the various issues online as well as calling in to the support to try to resolve it. Inititially I was told it was under warranty, however fast forward a few months of fruitless troubleshooting only to find out that they were NOT going to cover it under warranty and want to charge $700 for repair before they even know what is wrong with it. Not to mention that their customer support has "accidentally" disconnected from me on multiple times where I had to call them back.

Good gaming laptop for a good price
Predator 17" model. That 6gb graphics ram, I have never used more than half. 16gb ram I have never used more than half. I swapped out the 1tb HDD 5400rpm it comes with to an SSD for putting games, and it already comes with an SSD for the OS drive. My first time with IPS on a laptop, better graphics (softer on the eyes), it probably is not just the screen, but running lighting effects with a gtx1060 also blurr edges of lights to make easier on eyes. It is more expensive than the 15" model, but I prefer the bigger screen size.

Perfect killer machine!
Excellent!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress enough for people that had problems with the smaller display version (more popular on amazon)...all problems can be rectified by updating your drivers immediately before trying any heavy duty games. This has been awesome, games are fluid, and it's a powerhouse. Very satisfied with my purchase and while I was nervous when it came, the driver updates solved all concerns. This kicks butt and I couldn't be happier. Will check back in time if changes but for now - this does exceed my expectations for gaming and everything else.
