This adapter not only looks great but also works as advertised - charged my Samsung Note 8. Moreover, it even FAST charged it!I purchased the set of 2 UGreen adapters in order to keep one adapter handy, in case I’d need an urgent charging and there wouldn’t be the USB C cable around. (As far as I know, micro USB cables are still much more popular...)Pros:- High quality and nice looking.- Supports fast charging without noticeable self-warming. Here are some numbers: during 75 min. charging (from about 20% to 100% battery), the temperature of the adapter rose from 23 °C to 27 °C (73.5 °F to 80.5 °F) and then dropped to 25 °C (77 °F) (measured using a digital infrared thermometer). Moreover, in general, the temperature of phones goes up while charging, especially during the fast charging part, (This time I didn’t measure it, to be honest, because the phone was in the case.), so I think that chances are high that the adapter has mostly warmed up due to the phone itself…- Keychain Connector is a nice addition to minimize chances of losing the adapter. It also lets you keep the adapter handy on the micro USB cable.- Affordable price.Cons:- Yet, it’s great to have a keychain connector, but its wired ring is not too reliable… So, I prefer to store it in my wallet, rather than in the key-holder. This is the only cons I’ve found to the moment, but I don’t think it worth yet half a star. ;)Verdict:5 stars - high-quality micro USB to USB Type C adapter. Recommended!

These little Micro USB to USB-C adapters are extremely useful especially in the car. Having purchased new phones that use USB-C charging ports and still having many other devices that still use the Micro USB connectors these were just what we needed. I've purchased a lot of high quality Micro USB cables for both the car and household chargers and the thought of doing it all again to get USB-C connectors for the phones was madding. Not to mention having to carry more cords around. These well built little adapters solved the problem nicely. The thoughtful addition of the little retaining loop allows you to just attach the adapter to the end of your existing cable then you can take it off or leave it on with having to worry about misplacing and/or losing it and it is always handy and you only need a single cable. I actually carry one attached to my key ring so I always have one available! They might seem a little expensive but believe me they are worth every penny in convenience and quality.

I would have given it 5 stars but mine didn't come with the "Anti-lost keychain strap allows you to attach it to existing charging cord, key ring or bag". It definitely would have been convenient because that was one of the reasons why I ordered these. I needed something to connect the adapter that would help me feel confident that I wouldn't lose it. Don't get me wrong, the adapters are awesome. They click onto the micro USB and even "click" when they are connected to my Note 8. They work like a charm but now I'm in the same situation as before and I'm concerned about misplacing or losing my C adapter.

For anyone interested in knowing, the ring that attaches the claw/hook to the lanyard's metal cap is the spiral kind like larger key rings. This is different from the way this product appears in its pictures, where the ring appears to be solid rather than spiral.For me, this turned out perfect because I wanted this thing to not have the hook!The adapter itself works perfect for my needs, which is to attach OTG flash drives with a micro usb connector to my new phone, which has USB C. The micro usb port on the adapter is quite snug, but it still works so I don't think it deserves a lower rating for this.

I originally gave this review 3 stars but I am upgrading it to 5. After my initial review, Ugreen customer service contacted me and sent me out 2 new adapters. They both now fast charge my Note 8.This was very impressive! What company does that anymore?Excellent customer service. Great alternative to buying new cables when everything I own has been micro usb. I just purchased an LG V20 and it uses usb-c. My first device to use this tech.I notice that sometimes phone will say slow charging, but if I rotate the adapter/cable that the message goes away. For the price savings I don't mind the minor inconvenience.

Stupid Samsung!! Why do you have to have a new charger?? Are you Apple now? Ugh. Glad I was able to buy these little add ons. Super glad they have that little string hook attachment. I put one on my keychain and used the other to tie it to the micro usb cord. I have like 100 microusb cords and now, that I bought the Samsung S8, they're mostly useless. I hate when companies change their cord, grateful Ugreen supplied these adapters for cheap. They work, they stick and I'm happy.

I keep one of these in my wallet. My new phone uses USBC. My old phone was micro USB. So, I have lots of cables from my old phone. These allow me to use any of my old cables, and, keeping one in my wallet insures I always can use other peoples cables if I forget mine. Overall, 5 stars, because they aren't that expensive, and, they have worked as they should.

Great solution for avoiding wasteful and cumbersome cable duplication around the home, in the car and on my travels. My new phone has a USB-C port, but I have plenty of legacy gadgets that are micro-USB, so I will always need both USB-C and micro-USB charging. These adapters provide a neat solution to the problem. I've bought a couple of sets. They've worked successfully on all the umpteen micro-USB cables I've managed to acquire over the years. Data transfer between my phone and my laptop works too. They appear to be solidly constructed, and the detachable loop is very useful - I carry one adapter permanently on a keyring, and have the remainder threaded around the cables I use them with so they don't get lost.

These feel quite nice and "weighty" compared to other little cheap adaptors I have. They fit well onto my existing micro-USB cables and my Samsung Galaxy S9+ fast-charging ability works fine when using these.My only criticism is that they are quite pricey for just two, when the cheap ones are available at half the price for 4-6, some of which also support fast-charging, but are just a little more flimsy.

I bought this to connect a portable DAC to my phone. It is very intermittent in holding a stable connection. Some wiggles and pushing about eventually gets it to connect. OK on static charging etc but not reliable enough for out and about portability that needs a good connection. Shame as it looks good and keyring holder is handy. I now only use it on my keyring for emergency charging when I am out.

Its a gamble when buying stuff like this on Amazon these days. I used this adapter to successfully connect the FLIR One Pro (USB-Micro) to my OnePlus 7t Pro phone (USB-C). Other adaptors might not work and are only suitable for data transfer and charging. OTG allows your phone to act as a host device and vice versa (for example for connecting a webcam, a USB storage device, FLIR One PRO directly to your phone for your phone to act as host and use).

This worked with my MDR-A1DAC Xperia headphone cable with zero issues. In fact it has improved the experience vs the Micro USB as it connects immediately, without then need to connect in the android settings menu. Very happy I can listen to music again on my headphones.
