BOTTOMLINE: Nine40e (Seller) and RocRide (Manufacturer) rock! Really!! Fantastic retailer and manufacturer with amazing customer service and a good product! “Very satisfied” is an understatement. Super happy! TIPS FOR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: There are two types of bicycle tire tubes: 1. Butyl rubber 2. Latex This product is specifically for Butyl rubber tires. It uses vulcanizing cement to seal the puncture. It will NOT work for Latex tubes. For Latex tubes, use the “Glueless” patch kit product. I am not sure how to identify if a tube is of the rubber or latex kind. I leave that as an exercise for you! 😊 SUGGESTIONS FOR THE SELLER/MANUFACTURER: It would help to add information about the different types of tubes and the applicability of this item. I don’t think it is reasonable to expect customers to know this information. I am guessing that the negative reviews that have complained about the patch not working could likely have used it on a latex tire, like I did. MY EXPERIENCE: Bought this vulcanizing patch kit to fix punctured rear tube. Applied the patch as instructed. Patch didn’t hold and came off soon after inflating tire. Disappointed. Wondered what went wrong. Ordered a new tube and got the bicycle back on the road. Front tube punctured after couple of days. Applied patch as instructed, this time even more carefully. Patch didn’t hold and came off soon after inflating tire - again. Disappointed and annoyed. Curious to find out if the fault was in the product or in me. Contacted RocRide with a picture of unpatched patch. Received response in only a few minutes: - My tube needs a different type of patch - the glueless kind, not the vulcanizing kind - I will be getting a refund - I will be getting a glueless patch kit sample for free Didn’t ask or expect a refund. They gave it. Didn’t expect a free sample. They sent it. Applied glueless patch as instructed. Worked perfectly. Super happy! Thank you Nine40e and RocRide!

Have a 29" Mongoose hardtail single speed hexfit bought for 99$ on clearance several years ago. Replaced original tubes with Slime tubes for 10 bucks per wheel. Front one slashed by 40 yr old BMX rider in front of grocery store (jealous of my bigger bmx style MTB I suppose), never met or knew dude b4, had to cut out to get 200 dollars food home put orig. tube back in. Truck stop compressor blew rear tube in less time than I had to touch valve stem to chuck, orig tube had small leak, tried half dozen self adhesive type patches came in two different emergency repair kits I had for my bikes. None ever came close to holding pressure. Not wasting time and money for slime tires anymore nor buying tubes for 10 dollars or tires for $30, needed rubber cement type patches AND rubber CEMENT!!!! Worked first time bike up and running great after 3 weeks. Gary Fisher 26" too small for my needs in daily transpo, "LUV and NEED 29", but everything three times the price I paid before, so economical old school tech for me is was and will always be the way too go. Be buying more tubes of rubber cement and some sheets of patches, and new tires and tubes too, when the manufactures start making them and forcing the price back into normal range again. Maybe buy another 29" bike used or new if less than CRAZEEE priced!! Til then Ill patch my leaking holes with CEMENT AND Patch, cause those others were worthless waste of time. The patches did not adhere. I went through four of them before I gave up and order a tube. At least the tire levers came in handy especially after one patch held but within a day the 4th patch failed and I had to remove the tire again. So it wasn't a total loss. That's why I gave it 4 stars the levers are good.

This is a nice little kit that I have used a couple times without issue. I like that it stores in a tiny compact case and can be easily stored in a bag, or even in your pocket. It's a good price for a little extra insurance when out and about with a stroller, or bicycle.

My wife and I bought two new bikes a year ago, so the tires were new. Just over a month ago I finally bought this tire repair kit, feeling truly lucky that in a year we have had no flats. Just in time! In the last month we have had 3 flat tires, two at home (morning after a long ride) and one on the road. The kit provides everything needed to remove/replace the tire and repair a flat. Our holes were small, so we used the smallest patches. First finding the hole, then scuffing the area with the included metal scraper, then applying the glue, then about 3-4 minutes later the patch. All 3 repairs went well and are holding just fine. 5 stars easily. UPDATE: October, 2020 - Well, we just bought our second patch kit, because we actually used up all of the patches. We put a lot of miles on our bikes. Patching tires (or in our case, inner tubes) is just so easy with this kit. I like also that it's compact and goes with us on every ride. Again, my 5-star rating still holds up for us.

Seems like a good kit. Comes with everything you will need, if it works. Tire sealing a leak on a tire/same tire twice but no luck. Maybe I’m doing something wrong? But I also looked up videos and instruction. Seems like a great deal if it works. -Used soapy water and found the air leak. -Wipes up the air leak dry then scuffedup the area with the included scuffing tool then wipes dry. -Applies the sealer glue then patch. -Pressed up squeezing out any possible air bubble and held it tight for about 15 minminutes. Seems to be hold the air in. No sounds of air leaks or bubbles. In the end I bought a new tire tube and installed it. No issues so far.

The description of the items were very well written and the durability against puncture as well as design

Lucky me, my tire got a flat the first week after I bought this set. The stickers work amazing and haven't had any trouble with it since. Easy to use. My only problem is the plastic spoked you are suppose to use to pop the tire off broke way to easy. All of them except for one broke.

There was no Metall scuffer and I tried 3 times to patch different tubes, of course after cleanig and scuff up the area, and it came off easily. I have done it many times before with other brands and they never came off. Do not recommend

What I need was the two inch patch for a snake bit. All I got was just two packs of six 1" tiny Round Patches and glue. No other accessories.
