LEVEL8 Hardshell Luggage Sets 2 Piece for Women Men, 20/28 Inch, Black

I went on my first vacation... to four countries..... my mom had some very cheap luggage that she used for the last 30 years from a 2nds store..... I'm a size 3X and have to send away for all my clothes....so I if my luggage falls apart at some airport I will have to go on vacation naked! I can't even buy underwear or pants or shirts anyplace other then sending away for it..... so I was not going to take the chance of my luggage breaking open and losing all my stuff..... this was expensive... but it allowed me to be worry free on vacation.

Purchased this because each inside compartment zips closed and I saw a believable review on YouTube. Took these on a long trip. They are durable. I loaded the larger bag heavy. The airline put it through some abuse. It has battle scars now, but held up great! The only thing I might change is if it was offered in unusual and bright colors to distinguish it from all of the other black or grey cases at the airport.

7 trips in both of the zippers of the larger luggage had already broken off and the corner was a hole from being indented during air travel and eventually breaking off completely. Would not recommend whatsoever.

When I first bought this set (+ a single carry on size) I was SO excited because they looked amazing and of high quality. After the first trip using them, I was already concerned on account of how many scrapes/scratches showed on the black exterior. The flat surface takes a BEATING and one trip in they already looked well used. After the second trip, one of the side bumpers on the large luggage was just missing. I have the internal components but the bumper obviously jumped ship some time during travel. After the 3rd trip, we almost lost some belongings because the where the exterior zipper is sewn onto a firm but flexible plastic molding, a ton of stitches had come out and the zipper was detached for about 8” along the exterior. Thankfully that was at the end of the trip and we were able to carry it on to the plane and it wasn’t chucked below where I’m betting it would have completely detached. I just spent 45min resewing that seam to salvage the carry on! I have bought so many crappy cheap pieces of luggage from places like Marshalls and never had them deteriorate this quickly. I’m frustrated I spent so much money on what I thought would be a set that lasts a decade or more. Do yourself a favor, don’t buy these in black if you’re going to buy them and save yourself the headache and choose luggage with a textured exterior so you won’t see every scratch and bump. Oh, and I don’t have any faith in the durability of the overall luggage set - unzipping the interior lining confirms what you can feel just by touching this luggage - the shell is concerningly thin and dinky. Buyer beware! Also, I almost never post reviews so know that I’m genuinely annoyed at this product quality. These pictures are all after three trips…

20" size was great for overseas carry-on - lightweight, easy to roll even with additional personal items on top. 28" is very large - hard to lift even the not full. Took several corner dents on first use by air craft personnel

Level8 is well made, has great design, and almost rolls itself. I love mine so much I purchased two more sets as gifts for family.

After 50k miles flown in the past 5 months I can say that this is by far and away the BEST rolling luggage set I’ve used. Still holding up buttery smooth averaging 4 flights a month. Carry on can hold my Xbox series X and plenty of clothes with no issues putting it on the plane. They both have plenty of space but keep in mind what you get is what you get, you can’t really overstuff these, they don’t expand either I don’t believe that will cause any issues with packing as there is more than enough space to get you through a month of travel without having to wash clothes

I am writing this review 3 years later. I normally don’t write reviews however. I had my zippers broken on my suitcase and am leaving this Saturday. Level8 is now the only suitcase I’ll ever buy. They really stand by their lifetime warranty and cannot recommend them more. I will be buying these as gifts for all my friends and family going forward

Der Koffer ist 1,5 Jahre alt und wurde insgesamt nur etwa fünfmal verwendet. Leider lässt sich der Reißverschluss inzwischen nicht mehr zuverlässig schließen. Nach dem Zuziehen öffnet er sich von beiden Seiten wieder, wodurch der Koffer nicht mehr sicher nutzbar ist (siehe Bild). Der Koffer wurde normal benutzt, weder überladen noch unsachgemäß behandelt. Für ein Reisegepäckstück hätte ich mir eine längere Haltbarkeit gewünscht, da der Rest des Koffers optisch noch in gutem Zustand ist. Ich hoffe auf eine kulante Lösung seitens des Verkäufers, zum Beispiel in Form eines Ersatzes oder einer Reparatur, da das Problem offensichtlich nicht durch Fehlgebrauch entstanden ist.
