I'm 5'6". They seem sturdy and are quite opaque. My only complaint is the elastic cuff is narrow and cuts into your thigh. You will likely get muffin topping if you care about that sort of thing, I think it's cute but I wish they didn't do it because it takes away from the comfort of an otherwise very comfortable stocking.
