COLOR MUSE 2 Colorimeter Paint Color Matching Tool, Digital Color Values, Sensor, Reader for Paint Matching and Scanner for Painters & Designers

We build custom sheds and a lot of our customers want their shed to match their home. This tool is an absolute life saver. It's spot on for detecting the correct color and will tell you the color names for different brands that match. We absolutely love it. I only wish it had some sort of carrying case with a belt clip.

Living an apt with chalky mass painted walls, the flat-dusty finish shows a huge mark everytime something comes in substantial contact so I bought some touchup paint using the Muse 2. Some time back I pointed it at the wall in a few places and it said the same thing so went on to browse though the matches. After that I got the part number on home depot by finding the brand returned in the app and then the paint part number. Clicked purchase with a brush. Finally Im around to this and the match was beyond perfect, it got the color which doesnt seem too hard for a camera .. but it got the finish perfectly as well. Yeah the complex used a standard mass produced paint and color but Im not a painter and for $110 this device and software solved the problem. Oh and it wasnt much effort to set it up either. Finally, I dont know where it is anymore so it may be lost forever and I dont care because it was worth it to make this place whole again. If it only worked once Im happy (dont worry it is in a tool bag somewhere) I do see others posting that they thought the "closest matches" in paint brands was removed from the app but the historical scan shows those matches, perhaps others have encountered an odd paint color which has no pre-mixed equivalent?

Worked good the couple of times that I used it, then it wouldn't connect to the app. It keeps indicating connection timeout. Battery life was short. Would not recommend.

Works ok . Not very accurate for matching colors perfect. I will only match to certain paint companies colors like Sherwin Williams ,ppg and Ben Moore . If you use you will have to repaint the wall or what ever you are trying to touch up. Color may be close but not a perfect match.

Worked great. Replaced two bathroom mirrors and had to paint the wall behind it that still has the original paint from 93. Was able to give a color match that is indistinguishable from what was painted on the wall. Went to Home Depot and got a sample size that covered just the area needed. Perfect match.

If you do any sort of work around the house that involves interior paint, you need this! We've been users since the original Color Muse came out, and it was always a somewhat hit or miss because of the measurement variations/match recommendation caused by paint finish & surface texture. With the Color Muse v2, finish & texture-related paint matching errors are no longer an issue. The new colorimeter system identifies perfect matches every time which can be a serious money saver when you consider how expensive quality paint can be. We've used it a number of times to perfectly match a broad range of colors & finishes when finishing home renovation projects that involved painting after drywall work, which saves time & money since we can paint only the actual work areas instead of entire walls.

As a painter, I considered this a nice color-matching scanner until it died 4 months after purchase. When it did work, here are some observations: It claims to read the sheen as well as the color. Not a big deal, but its ability to sense the sheen is not accurate. Flat surfaces would often show as High Gloss while semi-gloss surfaces might read as flat. However, what is most troubling beyond the fact that this unit only lasted several months, was the fact that the customer service is non existent. I tried using their live chat service, but I would never get someone on the other end. I would send emails with no response. Finally, when initially setting up the app, it asked for the defaults for paint brands that I like to include (nice feature), but the problem is that I could not find how to change the default settings to alter that. It allows you to edit the selections, but it becomes a pain when you have to do that every time you use the app. It should be user-friendly to allow you to change the default settings instead of having to do it every time you use the app. Overall, there was no customer service to address these issues.

Greatly simplifies color matching when doing leather repairs. I’m able to get a much better match than doing the match by eye. When I match by eye the match looks perfect when I do it but then it’s never quite right when the light changes from outdoor to indoor, for example, but when I use the color muse the match looks great even when the light changes.

Suitable perhaps for scientific work, but completely unsuitable for work or everyday life.

製品を固定する紙製の仕切りには破れがあり、製品には小さな傷や屑が付着していたため、新品ではないように感じました。他の方のレビューでも同様の指摘があったため警戒していましたが、Amazon発送の商品を選んで購入しましたが、私の場合ペアリングも出来ず全く使えませんのでした、このメーカーの品質が悪いのかAmazonが返品された物を売ってるのか分かりませんが残念です。

くたびれた外箱、敗れた内箱、挙げ句の果てに116回も使用した形跡が。(専用アプリに繋いだところ判明)。返品しました。こんな事あるんですね。
