Once the plastic is off the fingerprint reader, works flawlessly!
I was a bit hesitant to order this based on other 1-star reviews here, especially the ones mentioning how finicky and inconsistent the fingerprint reader is. And for the first few minutes I was trying to set it up, I had the exact same frustrating issues others have mentioned, and I couldn't get fingerprints to register or read consistently. ...until, that is, I noticed the little strip of protective plastic covering the fingerprint reader. I have to gives kudos to the factory for their precision work here, because the plastic was fit SO precisely to the reader that it was absolutely invisible until I really started investigating. Once that strip came off, it was a whole new game and I've had absolutely no issues with it since. Of course, I don't know for sure that this is behind the problems others have had with the fingerprint reader (and of course makes no difference to the OTHER problems people have encountered), but I will say it fixed my woes. Otherwise, very satisfied: it's beefy, spacious, the pull-out drawer insert is a nice touch, and I didn't have any issues setting it up once I got it working right. Your mileage may vary!

Very happy with purchase
Item took a month to arrive but I knew that when I ordered it. Item came well packaged and as a result i found no flaws or defects as some have reported. Safe ws easy to configure to configure to my own codes, ?This was a replacemnt to a smaller sentry safe. Very pleased with nthis purchase.

Already set up out of the box. Juat need 4 aaaa batteries
I bought a couple safes on amazon and they all have failed badly. Way to complicated to put together. Wasting way to much time doing so. Really poor quality. Falling apart in just a week. Very thin walls and very bad advertising where they label it as a safe when its not. False advertising. Its not secure and to easy to break the safe. Sentry Safe stands out. The safe is ready out of the box. You dont waste time putting it together. You dont have to feel like you are a construction worker thats working on a complicated project. Its heavy and the walls are thick. You have the option to drill to the wall if you want too. Highly recommend checking them out. You seriously can't go cheap on a safe. Good for firearms ammo, and sensitive info. It has many good options for useage.
