Excellent Value
This is a 5-start product, and I am very happy with it. I own two of these. One I have owned for 4 years, and the other for 2 years. Every product has nuances that you learn about during use and like all battery powered products they have a lifespan. So here is my experience with this product. Battery life is Great! It will last for a couple of hours when new and as it ages, the battery power wanes, and the use time drops off. I wonโt give exact info here because how much you use it and how many charging cycles it has factor into battery life. But I can say that the 4-year-old light is still working. I mainly use the single side light on that one as the LED array drains the battery very quickly. I have two because when Iโm working, I donโt have time to stop and wait for the battery to charge, so one is always on my head while the other is on the charger. The LED array puts out some heat. Not a lot, but some. So, after a while your forehead gets warm and a bit sweaty. When I use it, if I donโt need the light for a period of time, I turn it off. (Also helps extend battery life) The no touch feature is a great feature when you are working at a desk or bench or anywhere where you have headroom and are not crawling around a tight space. It turns itself off and on if you get your head too close to anything. So, I use the no touch feature in specific situationsโฆ. And I like it a lot because my hands are often covered in glue or paint or something. The new light has a welcome feature the old one does not have. It remembers the last light setting Iโve used. Both have four settings. On the new one, if you were using the side light the last time you turned it off, it will still be in the side light setting when you turn it on. No need to cycle through all the settings to get back to the side light like the old one. The headband is easily adjustable and pretty comfortableโฆ it may be a little too easily adjustableโฆ it tends to loosen up as you wear it. Its not enough of a bother that I have done anything about itโฆ but when working on your back or in an odd location after a while it will loosen up and slip off your head. The LED array is high intensity. It really brightens up a room! Sometimes I find it too bright. I usually use the dimmer setting (2 of 4) or the single side light. I like the side light the best as it significantly reduces glare. The single side light is impressively bright. I can easily see the tree line from my deck at night. Its 150 feet away. I use the RED LEDS a lot too when out night fishing. The LEDS do burn out after a while. I believe it took 2 and a half years for my old one to start droppings LEDS in the array. After 4 years only 20 percent of the LEDS work. Another reason why I usually use the side light on that one. I also like that it has a USB-c charging port, so I donโt have to keep ANOTHER charging cable handy. Itโs the same charging cable my phone uses. In summary, for the price, I am VERY happy with this product and have given them as gifts to kids and friends. Finally, an inexpensive product that exceeds my expectations! 2024 Update. This second headlamp was not as good as the first. It started loosing LEDS within 6 months. Then the glue failed holding the light strip to the headband a few months later. The one I originally purchased is still working... and working better than the second one. Feel like I was baited and switched on this purchase.

Best headlamp for trades people and outdoor people
We own a cabin homestead deep in a forest on a river. And my husband and I are all-around, year round outdoors people. Itโs so dark where we live that we canโt see each other at night. And there are so many projects on a homestead where you need good light in tight spaces. With that said, we cannot stop raving about these headlamps. I bought a two pack, one for myself and I gave the other to my husband for his birthday. I didnโt set a timer for the charging time right out of the box however, I was very impressed with how quickly the charging occurred. I think it took about 30 minutes to charge. We have been using it for about five days now and have not had to charge it. Weโve been using it for nighttime catfishing every day this week and projects around the cabin and Homestead. What I liked about the lamp Iโve owned in the past is that they felt like an uncomfortable pressure on my forehead, and also the weight of the older headlamp on my forehead just felt uncomfortable, even when it was sitting on my cap. However, the weight on this headlamp is perfect. It doesnโt slip even when youโre holding your head upside down. It doesnโt slip when I use it on my straight hair, when my hair is curly it doesnโt get tangled in my curls, which is a great feature. It slips on and off when I need it to and stays on when I need it to. Iโve worn it with a trucker cap, with a wool cap, with no cap and curly hair or straight hair. Itโs very comfortable and nonslip. It feels very durable. The quality feels like this product will last for a long time. The one drawback is that I cannot adjust the angle on the light the way that I could with the model that is centered as one big square on my forehead. However, what I noticed is the U-shaped ray of lights and the side light makes it so that I donโt need to adjust the tilt on my headlamp. My husband just used it for a caulking project and he said it worked great and feels great. Heโs very happy that I bought this for him. I love the productโs adjustability and the various modes, especially the red light and the side laser light. These are excellent features in a headlamp. I will be giving this as a gift to all the outdoors men and women in my family this year.

Out of 5, it's a weak 4
It gets the job done with illuminating low-light areas. Light and cheap as well for something decently bright. Haven't had any issues with overheating either. However, extended use of +6 hours and on without any recharge bottoms out the charge. Moreover, the glue gave out about two weeks of use. I had to reglue the strip back on with gorilla glue, which yielded a much more favorable result of holding it together for +6 months and counting. Another gripe I have is both the motion sensor and the red light arrangement. The motion sensor's just too sensitive, switching on/off whenever anything big enough gets within range, helmets included if the headlight is worn underneath. When it comes to the red light, you have to cycle through the first four white light options to get there. It irks me that I can't get to the red light first for professional cases. Cosoos, if you are reading this, I hope you update this fairly good headlamp with 1. reduced motion sensor range so that the hand has to be within 2-3cm of the sensor to flip on/off. And 2. A dedicated red light button. Surely, there's enough space to accommodate a third button in places where red lights are prioritized. Bonus points if there's a red light design that has a different tactile feel to indicate the red light button by touch. In regards to battery life, I'm in a spot where it's just enough. However, it would be nice if the power could last an extra two hours or so, even if it means increasing the battery housing by a centimeter or two. TLDR: Pretty good light but could be much better.

I didn't expect it to be THIS good (for astronomy)
I'm a flashlight geek, and have bought dozens over the last couple of years alone. I'm also an electrical engineer so I know that flashlight tech has progressed to the point where what matters is design. And this is a properly designed headlamp. First, it charges with USB C, which even that many flashlights don't. Second, it's super compact, lightweight and slim. Very comfortable on the head as well. This is very important for astronomy work, where you are going to be using the headlamp for several hours, and anything protruding on your forehead will crash into your eyepieces and other equipment, so the completely flat front on this headlamp is perfect. Third, the red light is extremely useful for this field, while also providing a very bright, but dimmable, main light. Also, the hands-free sensor can be very useful, not as much for it being hands free, but with the power button on any headlamp being something you can't see while wearing the thing, so it helps avoid having to spend several seconds looking for the darn button. But most important of all, the designers had the common sense to give you the ability to turn the headlamp on and off without going through the different modes, and it remembers the last mode. Because, what good is to have a dim or red light mode if every time you want to turn it on you have to go through the high power mode, the blinding mode and the seizure-inducing strobe mode, ruining everyone else's night? Whoever designed this headlamp deserves a raise. But not a promotion, they need to keep designing more stuff, not become managers and leave a bunch of n00bs with the design jobs.

Great value, comfortable, functional!
I can't find much to dislike about these. They do take a bit of time to charge, but since you get two, and the battery life is pretty strong, I can't imagine how the charging time will be a problem for me, as I am not using these for back to back extended periods of time. However, I can see how if you needed a headlamp for 10-12 hours straight you could conceivably run them both down, and if you don't have electricity handy you may be out of luck. I have tested charging mine with a portable cell phone charger, and it took a couple hours. A more modern portable power bank may do a better job. These are super bright on the brightest setting, and comfortable enough to wear when I am working out.

Lightweight and portable light source.
Great little light. It folds up really small and comes with a nice hardshell carrying case. Even has a carabiner so you can just stick it on a bag. I also like how it charges via USB, no need to worry about batteries. Pair this with a USB battery with a solar charger, and you could have light indefinitely. The LED is plenty bright and has a wide field of view. It is not going to light up your whole front yard, but it will let you see what you are doing in the dark. The red LEDs a great for astronomy or any situation you want to keep your night vision. The motion detector is a little touchy, but it is nice not to have to cycle through all the modes just to turn the light off. Particularly for astronomy, when you don't want white light under any circumstances. If anything, this light comes with too much. The spotlight is ok, but it is side mounted, so it might not always be pointed where you want it. I could have done without it. There is a red flashing emergency mode, which is more annoying than useful. It also comes with a set of plastic hooks you can use to attach them to a hard hat, which is nice I guess, but I'll probably lose them long before I need a hard hat with a light. And while well-constructed, it is soft plastic, I don't know how well that is going to hold up anywhere you would need a hard hat. But overall, 2 for $20 was a great deal.

Good but stopped working
These worked good for a few months, but then both stopped charging or turning on at all. The features of waving your hand next to the side works great and there's a manual button too. The red light is perfect for night vision activities like star gazing. Unfortunately once the battery dies completely they don't charge at all. There are no lights when charging at all now and will not turn on even after charging overnight.

Solid Headlamp
I fish a lot at night so a good headlamp is a necessity. I took a flyer on these headlamps to have as backups or for other people I take out. The red light is a huge selling point as it keeps the bugs from swarming you when the light is on. I was shocked when I received these and used them on the water. First they are very well built. The buttons are responsive and do not feel cheap. The band is good quality and the whole unit is super light compared to my trusty Bushnell's. The main light across the front is very bright and provides outstanding coverage area. The spotlight was surprisingly bright and has a decent throw. One thing they did very well was the motion sensor. You have to be within a couple inches for it to trigger. Also it is on the side of your head and not the front. This greatly reduces turning the lights on and off by accident. I have high hopes for these headlamps. I don't know if I will get the 5-7 years of use like my Bushnell's. If I get two to three years with these it will be considered an outstanding purchase.

Battery won't hold charge
I have owned this for a year now and it's headed to the trash. Within a few months I noticed that it needed charging each time I wanted to use it. The battery charges fine, but will not hold the charge while remaining off for a few days. Can't see any way of replacing the faulty battery, so the entire unit is trash.
