Yes, you can really smoke indoors....
I've wanted on of these for a long time and finally decided to go ahead and buy one. Even though this is a smoker and a slow cooker, I have zero interest in the slow cooker option because I already have a slow cooker that I'm happy with. But, as far as a smoker, it's awesome. Not awesome because it does something that other smokers don't do, awesome because I can smoke indoors! I've sucxessfully smoked chicken, pork chops, pork tenderloin, pork belly, steaks, salmon, ribs and macaroni and cheese. I know the big question is whether it smokes up the kitchen while cooking. The first time I used it I found there was some smoke, not enough that I was overly worried but a little more than I liked. However, every use after the first one has resulted in very minimal smoke. The way the lid gasket is designed could be a little if they did two things. 1) Make the gasket a little larger for better sealing and 2) Add a couple of clamps the help the lid seal better. With that said, if you center the lid properly, you won't get very much smoke. In and and around the smoking chamber at the bottom where you put the wood chips can be a little tricky to clean but is far from a deal breaker. I use aluminum foil layered in the bottom to make cleanup a little easier. It has a temperature probe to help you monitor the status. I think mine is a few degrees off but nothing major. Obviously you can't smoke as much food in this smoker as a larger outdoor model but it's still large enough to smoke plenty for the average family or small gathering. Once you start using it, you'll get a feel for how quickly it burns through wood chips and how many to use. I mainly use it to smoke meats and I'm looking for a deep, smoked flavor so I usually fill the smoking chamber all the way up. The meat will be wet while it's smoking but as soon as it's done and it's taken out, it will dry in just a few minutes. I also have a Ninja Woodfire that doesn't get much use due to needing to use it outdoors so if you're on the fence about the Weston and you'll actually use it, just get it, you'll be happy with it.

Smoker of my dreams
This is an amazing 2 in one in door smoker and slow cooker. I use it primarily for cheese smoking. It holds up to 2 1 lb cheeses beautifully and smokes them at the same time. The smoker is light weight and is easy to operate. I am a blind person and never had a single issue in operation of this smoker. Odor during smoking is barely noticeable and rather pleasant. Tip: Keep the thermometer in place during smoking, it is not necessary to connect it if you donโt need to check the temperature, just insert it in its place on the lid to prevent smoke escape. I highly recommend this product.

Fit for purpose, fun to use, and a great value at the price break. - 4 out of 5 Stars.
This review is based on the decision to keep the Weston Brands 2-in-1 Indoor Electric Smoker & Programmable Slow Cooker rather than trying every indoor countertop smoker in its price range. The unit is fit for its purpose; it effectively smoked a 6-pound Boston butt for 6 hours and then slow-cooked it for 10 more, emulating an outdoor smoker to perfection. If you find yourself wanting a smoker but are restricted from having one outdoors, this is a useful tool. The unit is extremely light, which makes for ease of handling and storage, but it needs to be handled carefully to avoid damage. To prevent debris from accumulating under the smoke ring, I wrapped the base's exterior with aluminum foil. I also covered the smoke lid in aluminum foil. If the temperature probe is not inserted while the smoker function is on, smoke will bellow out of the hole. This opening needs to be plugged by the probe or something else to stop the smoke from leaking. The smoker does not allow for the use of the slow cooker vessel. Because of this, the lid does not get a good seal and a little smoke will leak. However, it is 99.9% less than the smoke from burning traditional incense sticks, so it is not a problem. I also used a little peanut oil around the ring to help with the seal. I feel this is a poor design, but it is not a showstopper. Also, the electrical cord is only 3 feet long and does not detach from the smoker. After its first use, I discovered that drippings will mingle with the chip debris and cannot be used for au jus. On the next cook, I am going to devise a way to keep the drippings contained. All in all, smoking meat has always been a labor of love. Although this device requires some minor engineering to get the desired result, it is far less intense than using a traditional smoker. From that standpoint, the Weston Brands 2-in-1 Indoor Electric Smoker & Programmable Slow Cooker is a real winner and fun to use.

Indoor smoker that wont break the bank but will make great smoked food.
So I haven't written a review in a while, but this product was something I was on the fence about and I was so pleased with it I figured it was worth a review. A couple thoughts: -Is this as good as a 500$ indoor smoker? I honestly have no idea, i wouldn't spend 500$ on an indoor or outdoor smoker which is why i got this one. But is this an awesome 120$ smoker? absolutely yes -Use this under or over your stove hood and turn on the hood fan! otherwise you will low key smoke your whole house, if you really like hickory smell, sure that's great, otherwise the seals on this work fairly well, but smoke does escape but if you put this around a hood fan you'll be fine. -Minor complaint, the temp and timing functions are very basic, with a probe you cook to a temp, without a probe you cook to a time, its a bit confusing and the panel isn't intuitive, but once you kinda figure it out, you'll be ok. -It smokes really well! We've done salmon, cheese, poultry, and pork, all of its smokes great. we get the pellet sampler packs and have had great success -Its not super easy to clean since the heater element is just in the bottom. so make sure you put some foil in the bottom to catch drippings. -Again the seal on the lid isn't perfect, this isn't a fancy smoker that has some sort of air circulation system, the smoke will escape so see point 2 again. Overall really happy with this purchase. Was on the fence about it, but if you are also on the fence this is a really budget friendly way to get into smoking without going outside.

Very Happy!
Just got it and it works great! I smoked a chicken. I did turn the exhaust fan on low but there was no smoke smell in the house. The chicken tastes smoked but not an overly smoky flavor. The slow cooker part is huge!

This was awesome, until it started flipping circuit breakers.
I bought this for the smoker setting. I was able to use it a total of four times and achieved some outstanding smoked trout using the combo smoke setting. It was efficient, easy to use, and not too bad to clean. Best of all I could use it indoors under the stove vent. I honestly thought I might have found an alternative to my Big Chief smoker for smaller batches of fish. A little ways into my fourth batch of trout, I noticed that the smoker had cut off. I tried turning it back on but had no luck. I then noticed that some nearby appliances were not working. It then dawned on me that the circuit breaker must have flipped. I ended up moving the smoker to another outlet where there was nothing plugged in on the breaker. It came on briefly and I set it up to smoke and walked away again. Came back a few minutes later to find it off and another breaker flipped. I moved my trout to the oven at that point. As much as I liked this thing, I am afraid it might be a hazard. I am scared to use it further and will luckily be able to return it as I am still in the return window. I hope that I just got a lemon and that other ones work great out there. However, I would strongly advise folks to be careful with this.

Big slow cooker, excellent smoker
I was only looking for a smoker I could use inside, and it turned out to really need to be used outside. In spite of that, I am really happy with it. I make my own bacon and it does a fantastic job of smoking that. The slow cooker part turned out to be invaluable as well, as my other slow cooker is very small. The larger one that's part of this smoker has allowed me to make soups and casseroles in bulk that I can put in the freezer in meal portions. It does make more smoke than my stove hood would handle, but I use it now on a long extension cord outside, and it works fine for that.

Yup, it gives food a smokey flavor...
My first impression is that it definitely works. As others have described, the controls are pretty complicated. It really could benefit from some additional buttons or a better UI. Other than that, I added an elastic strap to hold down the lid a bit better. I live in a 6 unit apartment and my stove vent inexplicably vents into a back stairwell where smoke alarms are located. I'm constantly setting them off when I'm searing roasts or frying stuff. My neighbors "love" me! LOL Without a little weight or a strap on the lid, the smoke does escape and I really want to be able to use it in my kitchen. My first test was to smoke fresh ground turkey patties on hot. They came out a bit too smokey but that's probably more related to the quantity/type of wood chips and needing to play with the settings. Overall, I'm very happy with it and am looking forward to using it often in my Chicago apartment year round. UPDATE after 3rd use: No regrets because I mostly needed a slow cooker but the smoking will definitely take practice and an understanding of the capabilities and limitations. Does it smoke stuff? Yes. Will it behave like a pellet grill/smoker? Absolutely not. You're going to need to accept these limitations and adjust accordingly. Use it to add a great smoke flavor to meats but you'll need to incorporate a cast iron grill pan or a broiler to get your meats to not have a steamed/boiled texture.

Ahumado interior
Estamos encantados con este ahumador de casa, si deja ligero olor a humo dentro de casa por lo que lo tenemos cercas de una ventana, pero el sabor que deja en la carne es delicioso, si lo recomendamos.

Great smoker/ slow cooker
Works as intended no complaints so far! Stoked to be able to smoke indoors, some smoke escapes through the seal on the side of the lid but not bad as long as you have a rang fan above youโre golden!

Surprised
I wasn't too sure how good this would work, I was skeptical. It works very well. It takes up as much space as a slow cooker. It works great for smaller cuts or small amounts of food or making smoked salt, cheese etc. I haven't used the slow cooker function, and to be honest I probably won't, I only use it as a smoker. I have recommended this to people with no outdoor space, it's worth it
