Aromatic and Smooth Tasting Coffee
I like coffee! Don't you! Anyway I am always open to the experience of good coffee. Searching around I came across the Trung Nguyen Gourmet Blend - a Vietnamese blend, which was 'a little this and a little of that' - arabica rustelo and other ingredients not really known to me, but in the spirit of 'I"ll try anything once, I went ahead and tried it AND I liked it. It has a very pleasing aroma and a mellow taste with chocolate accents. I used my 'pour over coffee filter' (which keeps coffee grounds from going into the cup) allowing me to make 1 cup at a time. Two tablespoons of ground coffee; add hot water and I had a very good cup of coffee with no grounds for objection! Mmm good. Now I am on my second cup. I tried it; I liked it Maybe you will too! 1

great flavor and caffeine levels (when my Trung Nyugen Creatives are out of stock)
for me, it doesn't matter that there is some artificial flavoring in this coffee....that discouraged me at first but I was very glad I gave it a try...for the price (currently $10.99) the flavor and caffeine levels are AMAZING when my Trung Nyugen Creatives are out of stock...I would always go for Creative 1 or Creative 3 over this coffee, but when those aren't available this is an EXCELLENT replacement

As MOCHA as it gets!
I purchased this coffee simply because I wanted a traditional Vietnamese blend to put in my Vietnamese filter. I feel like I won the lottery! It was amazing made in the traditional way, with the tiny silver cup that drips one drop at a time. Then I tried it with a filter pour over. If you like chocolate and love coffee, this blend is as decadent as it gets. First, your nose will be treated to the unmistakable fresh ground aroma. The first sip is a few seconds of milk chocolate which then explodes into a more robust dark chocolate as it goes down, with a finish that never completely dries. Exquisite with milk, downright sinful with a lump of chocolate melted in.

great coffee, but not the flavor Im looking for for ca phe sua da
Im not a coffee connoisseur at all and cant tell the difference between harbucks or mcdowels, but I do know the taste of ca phe sua da in socal and have been casually engaged in finding the right blend. The oft recommended, Cafe du Monde, is definitely not the flavor. Im not sure what chicory is, but its a funny tasting coffee, fairly mild, and no matter how long I try to filter it to get it stronger/darker, the coffee just isnt the right amount of blackness. So I turned to Trung Nguyen, and based on recommendations from internet, friends, and the website itself, this is one of (if not the) most popular blend. Its got a great flavor full of nuttiness and sure presses better than du Monde (almost no grounds at bottom of cup), but its still not the ca phe sua da Im used to. For one, the color is a definite brown, not black and it isnt strong. Ill give the Creative #1 a try which says its a dark and strong robusta coffee (no blend), compared to this which is a blend of nearly everything. So if you are looking for a great tasting coffee full of complex flavors that are beyond what I can describe, give this a try... you wont be disappointed to the least. But, if you are looking for that really strong, jet black coffee that can strip paint off a car and wake up dirt, and that when mixed with condensed milk turns into a rich golden-brown concoction that is ca phe sua da, then you need to look elsewhere (like that Creative #1... possibly).

Outstanding coffee flavor
We mix our coffee, 1/3 Trung Nguyen to 2/3 Gevalia Colombia and the coffee flavor is truly outstanding. If you use Trung Nguyen coffee by itself, the flavor is very good, but the drip is much slower than other brands as the grind is much smaller.

Enhanced with artificial flavors
My first time trying "Vietnamese" coffee. While I was OK with the flavors, I am kinda disappointed that it needed to be enhanced with artificial coffee and chocolate flavors. If I want it to have a chocolate flavor I would add 100% Special Dark Cacao.
