I have often bought something that has reviews stating there is a strong smell coming off it or the smell took too long to go away, but I never feel like I experience that. Well, now I have! My husband put this together while I was at work. Made it in our living room and then put it in our master bathroom. When I walked into the house, I thought something was on fire or had recently been on fire, and then I walked into our room and was hit with a wall of this smell. It smells like burning plastic. It's absolutely overwhelming, I opened all the windows in my room/bathroom to try and air it out. The smell didn't dissipate for 4 days, UNTIL I went to finally put things in the drawers and cabinet and opened them all and the smell wafted out and smacked me in the face! Took another day for the smell from that to not be as strong. I truly suggest building in a garage and leaving it there for some days before putting it into an enclosed bathroom. Other than that, easy assembly(says my husband) I absolutely love the size of this. It fits perfectly in an odd space I have between my bathroom counter and shower. The drawers have some minor uneven gaps but it's not a big deal. I do wish there were two shelves in the cabinet side but that's okay.
