AW305WL lathe, brilliant 👏
First woodturning lathe. Recieved today. Boy am I glad I went with axminster!! Quality, quality, quality....AW305WL, First rate (just be aware that the belt setting comes set up at higher revolution) . Changed it and am so much more comfortable with it. Also thanks to Colwyn, woodwisdom videos, (I've watched dozens of them) . I think I will do OK 👍. Alan

Excellent bit of kit
Been wanting to try woodturning for ages now and have had my eye on this lathe. Finally able to afford it with some safety wear and tools. Wish I’d taken this hobby up years ago. Absolutely love it. The lathe is a very sturdy machine weighing 40 kilos so it needs a decent top to sit on. Everything about it is quality and simple to set up and use. Even changing the belt to change the speed is a doddle tho not sure you need to as the variable speed control is enough just by turning the control knob. Very quiet when running. Can not fault it

Axminster Woodturning Lathe.
Item arrived well boxed and is of a high quality. The Lathe is easy to use with variable speed switch for external control. As I am new to the woodturning hobby, I would say that this Lathe is good value for the money, good size and gives you good control whilst turning wood. Would recommend to those taking up woodturning and to those already doing it.
