Does this come with a shut off valve and check valve?

It comes with 3 ball valves (shut off valves). No check valve. I would recommend picking up a check valve and an ro automatic shut off valve. If you don’t know how the ro automatic shut off valve works with a check valve just google it. It’ll make your life with this ro system much better.

Does it come with a water pressure gage

This comes with very little other than the filter itself. It comes with NO SHUT OFF VALVE, NO SADDLE VALVE (to pierce the copper pipes to get water), and of course NO PRESSURE GAUGE.

Which one is better and never? this one or the one without the mineral restoration (b00lk97sqo)? which one is recommended for drinking and aquarium?

This "portable" ro filter does not come with a shut off or the saddle valve. As I recall (I gave mine away) it comes with a garden hose set up so if you're going to use it in your home you have to convert it to 1/4 tubing, buy a shut off valve (or it will run constantly), tubing to replumb the ro filter for a shut off valve. The saddle valve is used to pierce copper water pipe to get the water.  I had difficulty trying to work with this seller. No opinion on the mineral restoration.

when making water is the waster line supposed to have water coming out, can i out a valve on it

The LiquaGen unit has a reverse osmosis (RO) cartridge. The RO cartridge needs to be flushed of contaminants. Thus, the flush section does continually dribble water through a small orifice in the flush/bypass section. The LiquaGen unit is probably originally meant to be up fed intermittently with a garden hose. I've hooked mine up to the regular house cold water line. I've installed a small ball valve in the house water feed line that remains off when the unit is not in use.  When I need to make RO/DI water for the aquarium, I turn on the feed water as well as the RO cartridge big flush valve for about 15 minutes. Then shut the flush valve off and make the RO/DI water needed (10 gallons). At the end of the run, the RO flush valve is opened again for another 15 minutes to make sure the RO cartridge is cleaned. Then both the flush valve and feed water valves are closed. The unit is ready for the next batch of RO/DI water.
