I needed to make a clear display case. I checked the prices at Home Depot and Lowes but was not sure I could trust them to cut the pieces with any accuracy. I was delighted to see that these six 12" square panels were perfectly squared and cut, well protected, and ideal for my needs. I did have to make 2 cuts per sheet, still concerned with the accuracy of my cuts, but I managed well enough. It would have cost me much more had I bought it at a local source. I see me ordering again for my next project.

Super impressed with the quality. The edges are smooth, no snags or roughness and all the corners are perfect. They are crystal clear and more sturdy then I was hoping. Each piece was protected with plastic wrap, so no scratches anywhere. I'm using them to protect certain areas of an expensive walnut shelf unit and secretary that will see a lot of action. Want to see the wood, not cover it up. This fits the application.

EDIT: Apparently, I'm very lucky I bought this when I did! I bought the 6-pack (black 12x12" 1/8th" thick) for $19.99, and now it's listed for $47.99??? Either they mistakenly charged me for a 3-pack, or there was some special at the time. I don't remember anything about a special sale, but that's like a 135% price increase I have to admit, the protective backing is so thin I thought it wasn't there at first (I'm a noob with acrylic). I was thinking "well, never quite looks like the ad..." But then my brain stopped farting and I peeled off the backing to reveal a beautiful, glossy sheet of black acrylic. I'll chalk it up to buyer's pessimism. I was planning to cover most of it with vinyl, so I could have been okay with a less than perfect finish. But now that I've seen how nice it looks, I'm inclined to leave more of it showing. For my first real foray into acrylic bending and fabrication, I'm going to make various covers/housings and brackets for my computer case. Once I get to work with it a bit, I'll update my review if anything changes, but for now it's 5 stars for the 6 pack of black acrylic. Great value compared to buying clear acrylic (edit: at least when it was $20 for a 6-pack), and looks better than I imagined.

I would have given the product 5 stars if it weren't for the 90% price increase! I purchased a package of 6 - 12x12x1/8" sheets in black four years ago for $19.99. I plan to reorder again soon but now the price is up to $37.75! Aside from the price, this acrylic sheet is quite versatile. I use it to construct a variety of projects and always keep a supply on hand. It can be cut with almost any fine toothed saw blade or scored and snapped like glass. I buy Acrylic sheets all the time from multiple different vendors. For many projects. These are by far the best I have found yet. They were packaged perfectly with care. Not just thrown in a box. There was top Styrofoam and bottom Styrofoam in a box that was fit perfectly for these items. They were also in perfect condition. Each sheet had the protection film that was not pealing off like most vendors. It was rock solid on the sheet. After run threw my laser cutter my project turned out perfect. I will be buying more of these for sure.

This stuff is SO brittle! when cut, it gets a lip on the cut edge, and if cutting close, it begins to bend. Also, one side seems smooth, but the other side has bubbles or pock marks on it. Not good for precision work or anything requires aesthetic appearance.

I cut these with a CNC and I have purchased other similar sheets in the past but these are perfect for what I need. Here is what I found about them that separates them from their competition: ■ They are truly 12"x12". Other sheets I purchased from other vendors were always 11.850"x11.850" and if you are going to cut multiple pieces with a CNC, every 1/8 of an inch counts to be able to hold them still and get the most pieces out of a sheet. ■ They appear to be cut with a laser because their edges are clean and look like they are polished. ■ They are squared perfectly and they are flat (not bent). ■ They are covered with paper and not clear plastic which makes them easy to mark with a pencil. Sheets that were covered with plastic, I had to mark with a silver marker and precision suffered a lot. ■ They came perfectly packaged in individual bubble wrap sleeves. Many times when I ordered from other vendors multiple quantities, I find that some of the sheets have scratches and rips on the paper covers and I have to work around that when cutting them. These were delivered perfectly covered with no paper rips or scratches. I will be ordering many more of these and I wish they offered a tinted see-through version. I hope they keep their reasonable pricing (about $5 per sheet at the time of this review).

I am very satisfied with the sheets of plexiglass I ordered. They appear to be very well manufactured and I experienced no problems what so ever with this purchase...... I live in the Southwest desert and I have a kitchen window that faces west. I wanted to block the sunlight in the lower portion of the window with a temporary product that can be easily removed. We braced the sheets to the glass with a very small clear adhesive clip. My project works, both blocking the sun and heat. Viola'.

Love these! Work great for blocking out sun, for signs and for hanging!! Will be ordering more, as I have lots of ideas on what to use these for. Nice colour and acrylic is strong, well made and worth the price!!
