Great product!
Very sleek looking! Using it as a deterrent to a toddler who loves to play with electrical sockets . . . it works perfectly and looks modern and blends in easily with decor.

Build quality is great. Power switch at top keeps me from having ...
My only complaint is I'm going to spend a lot more to install these throughout my entire apartment. I'm an immediate fan. Build quality is great. Power switch at top keeps me from having to root around for the thumb switch half-way down the lamp cord. Aesthetics are great when you add a face plate. I ordered the Walnut face plate and love it. Minor nits: I found the instructions slightly confusing. Remove the soft insert ... uhm, what soft insert? And through no fault of the product, once you put a square on top of your outlet it will magnify the degree to which the original construction crew hurried through cutting holes in the wall and installing the outlets -- if they're not level, your Inlet will DEFINITELY not look level. I don't know the solution, but it would be great if there was a future iteration of the product that allowed level adjustments, perhaps by building the face-plate interface in such a way that it can rotate. Regardless, with this first one I've become a big advocate. There's not doubt this is not a low-cost solution, but the value is quite high if aesthetics are important to you.

2 major flaws: Plug orientation & Cost.
Great Idea. Some flaws. Looks great with the wood faceplate, but the price makes it hard to overcome the cons. Here are the issues I had, objectively, (I really wanted to like this): 1. Our outlets at work and home are all up to what the electrician cited as the new code where the Ground is at the top. They explained this was to keep vibration or slight tugs from pulling plugs downward and exposing the prongs to dust/papers/debris that could cause a fire or short. The Inlet has no ability to change the orientation of the plug. This means if your ground is at the top, the outlets are pointed up, the cords all go up, then back down, leaving a bigger mess. More importantly, the cover holes are oriented for ground at the bottom plugs. Therefore, the face plate doesn't stay on well or covers the outlets making it unusable. 2. It's a very poor value. Despite being a really great idea, spending almost $60 to turn 2-plugs into 3-plugs and 1-usb is crazy. Belkin sells this: Belkin SurgePlus 6-Outlet Wall Mount Surge Protector with Dual USB Ports (2.1 AMP / 10 Watt) which turns your 2 plugs into 6 and adds 2 USB's. You can get approx 4 of these for the price of 1 LivingPlug Inlet. Or you could buy one and have money left for 1-Foot Extension Power Cable, UL Listed CSA Approved, 5-Pack and materials for buying/building a nice enclosure.

On/off button is a nice feature.
We love these. I especially like the on/off button to prevent its internal transformer from drawing power when you are not using it, and to shut off things that are plugged into it. We use the walnut covers to give it a more natural look. Super cool.

This is the faceplate only - plug is not included
These are very nice, however, I didn't realize the plugs were sold separately. Be sure of what you're ordering. I'm returning these - I don't want the extra expense of the plugs and I can't find the easily on Amazon. The posting for the plates is a bit misleading.

I love these Inlets
My wife's close friend is an interior designer in NYC and gave two of these Inlets to her as a gift. They are awesome. I don't know why someone didn't think of doing this before? She uses them in our dining room and we get complements on them all the time from guests. They become a conversation piece. I recently got two for my home office. I got the walnut face plates to go with my single slab wood desk and I must say, it looks pretty dapper. Oh and they work great. It was about time someone found an attractive way to plug in a USB connection. My desk area was looking like a 1920's switchboard. I love these Inlets.... great added value to both rooms we have put them in.

This sounded like a great idea and looked awesome plugged in
This sounded like a great idea and looked awesome plugged in. However, the connections were very poor with both the USB and standard plug-ins. I had to continually wiggle the plugs around to get connection and as soon as I stepped away the connection would fail. Very disappointed in this great idea. Product returned.

Nice but the price is a joke
Sure, it does the job with a bit of style but a ridiculous price for what you get. You have to buy that main unit and then the separate image piece. in total, not worth $50+.
